We Finally Got Some DLC News! #silksong
There is finally a bit of news about Sunong DLC. Earlier today, Bloomberg published an interview with Team Cherry where they talked about future DLC, how the map evolved, cut mechanics, and more. In terms of DLC, one of the most popular theories is that it’ll be something related to the City of Steel. And Team Cherry was specifically asked about Steel Assassin Sharp, who was one of the characters created by a Kickstarter backer. They said that Sharp is just waiting in the wings and they’re excited to reintroduce them. They also said that DLC would be a good opportunity to discover more about the Steel Assassins in general. So, that seems pretty promising. Interestingly, they were also asked about the Village of Lions, which was another Kickstarter backer idea. I honestly need to look into this more. I don’t know a ton about it, but Team Cherry said that they plan to deliver on all of their obligations, so Village of Lions might show up as well. In terms of a timeline, they were pretty koi, but they said they’ll start talking about it more soon. In other DLC news, if you’re hoping to explore a fully fleshed out coral gourd, that looks pretty unlikely. They didn’t outright say it won’t happen, but they talked about how the area evolved into the blasted steps. They spoke on how a beautiful lush world didn’t really fit in the narrative that they were trying to tell. They also said that they’re aware that a lot of people want a Pantheon style boss rush mode, so it’s nice that that’s on their radar. They also have an interesting quote talking about the challenges of adding DLC to an already huge game. They talk about the idea of a new player that has the DLC installed coming across it naturally and that being an overwhelming experience. So they say, quote, “Some of that might mean finding ways to hide away the access because otherwise potentially by the end of our expansions and development, it would just be gargantuan.” So very interesting to think about how they might hide away the access point to upcoming DLC.
