Nightreign’s DLC is my WORST NIGHTMARE…..

That’s fine. Hold them up, Tubby. Let’s do this. All right. Welcome back to Elder Ringer Night Rain, everyone. Continuing on here with more of the DLC. Also, real quick, just wanted to say a huge thank you for all the support on the last few videos. As far as this video goes, we’re going to be hopping back on Undertaker here. I know I said in the last video I’d be checking out Scholar 2. I did play a bit of him last night and it really seems like he’s meant to be played in a group. Speaking of stuff I did between episodes here, I did manage to take down the balancers. I actually did it the very next run I went on. Kind of annoyed I didn’t keep recording to be honest. And uh this boss is definitely something. Man, obviously it seems like it was designed with scholar’s ability in mind, but let me tell you, it’s absolutely brutal to fight solo. Now, I’ve got a couple objectives here as far as today’s video goes. For one, I want to fight the Dreg Lord, which is the second Night Lord that the DLC added. And I’d also like to see what other night bosses were added to the game. Someone in the comments of the last video said that there’s actually a few sets of night bosses available. And apparently I’m just really unlucky and got the demon princes every single time. So yeah, that’s pretty much the plan for today. Also, yeah, we’re going to be sticking with the default map for now. I think the uh new shifting earth is cool and I definitely do plan to probably spend another video sort of sitting down and trying to figure it out cuz I do know that there’s a lot of like cool secrets and stuff in it. But for right now, my main goal is to fight the new night lord and check out all the new night bosses and stuff. And uh in the interest of that, I feel like it’s probably a better idea for me to uh stick to what I know, you know. Also, I have watched a couple other content creators playing the new map, and from what I’ve seen, it seems like the play style is very different from what we’re used to as far as regular Night Rain goes. I don’t know if it’s necessarily correct or if this is just how people are playing, cuz we don’t really know what objectives are good yet. But rather than prioritizing objectives to power up, it seems like people are more so prioritizing uh field bosses and almost treating the map like a big boss rush, which is totally cool, by the way. Like I am more than happy with a change of pace to, you know, what’s sort of been the gameplay loop up until this point. But obviously that’s something I’m going to have to figure out over time, like how it’s meant to be played. But yeah, for right now, just in the interest of getting, you know, to the new boss and actually having a build to be able to sort of combat it. Uh, it’s probably a better idea for me to, you know, stick to what I kind of know how to do. Although, that being said, this is an unfortunate pull for my first ever jail. Or maybe not, actually. Hold on. I did learn a trick. So, if I line these guy, can you [ __ ] off, man? So, if I do this, there we go. Yeah, you can kind of treat it like an AoE if you lock onto a guy that’s far away from you and, you know, go through the rest of them. All right, that could have been worse. Actually, speaking of Undertaker’s abilities, by the way, big shout out to you guys in the comments for sort of explaining how these actually worked to me, cuz uh I definitely did not have it figured out in that last episode. Like for example, as far as her uh buff ability goes, I did kind of figure out what that’s for. Like obviously I knew that I got a damage buff and a move speed buff. Do I have time to kill this hippo? I think I might. Hippo, come here. Yeah, I did figure out like what the buff did in the last episode, but I wasn’t entirely using it correctly. Apparently, you want to synergize it with your alt rather than sacrificing the alt bar for it because if you use it and then ult an enemy, it does way more damage. And uh speaking of the alt, I now also know how the free alt system works. I did figure out from the description that you get a free ult every single time your teammates use an alt, but apparently as far as when you’re playing solo, uh the reason I was getting free ults in that fight against the ulcerated tree spirit, you also get a free ult any time that you perfectly dodge a grab attack, which by the way is actually crazy. I had no idea you could perfectly dodge a grab attack, but apparently that’s a thing. All right. Yo, can you dorks stop and just sit down and let me kill you, please? There we go. Oh, I think that’s an improvement over what I have. Although, I did like having the bleed, but sacred blade will be good. Maybe I’ll get to fight a deathright bird. But yeah, so apparently if you perfectly dodge a grab attack, you also get a free alt use. So, that’s also good to know. Uh, I guess I’ll face check castle next. I don’t need to do another Everjale just yet, I don’t think. But yeah, I really appreciate you guys in the comments sort of uh explaining that and uh not being jerks about it also cuz uh I know there’s an expectation that we YouTubers be like, you know, better at the game than other people or whatever. But sometimes when a YouTuber doesn’t exactly know like what’s going on or is a, you know, perfect expert on whatever mechanic that they happen to be trying to figure out. I’m going to take the bird all the way down, I think, cuz I can get these two and then sort of play around this area. I think that’d be a better use of the first half of the day. Uh, whatever you say, scholar. Yeah, I got to be honest. I don’t know anything about the lore of this expansion. I have not looked into it at all. That’s going to be more of a uh later thing. I’ve mentioned it before. I’m really not a uh figure out the lore kind of guy. I’m more of a let other people figure it out and then explain it to me kind of guy. All right. Now, under normal circumstances, I would call a video here, but somebody told me that there actually are multiple night bosses for balancers. And apparently, I was just really unlucky and got demon princes like six times in a row. So, we’re going to have another crack at the balancers here cuz I want to see what this other night boss is. Although, for the sake of ensuring that I get a good run in, I’m actually going to swap back to Raider here. I’m assuming I’m going to have to roll this a couple times, and I want to make sure I’m able to consistently get a good run going. All right. Well, this run’s going pretty good so far. Got ourselves a nice giant crusher. Three ever jails cleared out. Level 9, day one. Although most of that is because I ran into a deathright bird in one of the ever jails. This DLC is actually the worst thing I’ve ever played in my life. I mean, I guess it’s not surprising. Moog is a spectacle boss after all. I kind of want to fight him again, though. I feel like I think I missed a mechanic there somehow. Like, I don’t know what the deal with those trident was. I’m assuming that’s the reason why I was taking all that random like blood loss buildup. So, I’m curious how like you’re supposed to deal with that. Also, the fact that he has knee heal is [ __ ] Like, is there a way to get the Moog tier? I don’t think there is. I mean, unless it drops somewhere and I’m like unaware of it. I don’t know.
