Elden Ring (+DLC) But I Can ONLY USE STRAIGHT SWORDS
Hello everyone. Today I’ll be beating Elder Ring and its DLC while only using straight swords. Straight swords are best known for having access to square off which is one of, if not the strongest Ash of War in the game, capable of outputting absurd poise damage. And with the addition of Rana’s cameo in the DLC, also hitting insanely hard. Okay, this should be 4.2K and another. Oh my god. As I found out during this run though, they’re also ridiculously strong when power stanced and have some of the best options for holy damage in the game. Oh, that is uh a hell of a lot more than I thought it was going to be. I’m going to be rushing to the DLC to try out all the new stuff as early as possible so we can see how it holds up in the base game. That’s crazy. Oh, you might be dead. There’s a couple that start with straight swords. I think I’m going to go with Confessor cuz Braws Sword is technically the best one, or at least the best smithing stone one. Okay, for once, I’m actually going to have to kill grafted scion here. It’s been a little while since I fought a lot of grafted scion. Hopefully, I can remember the move set well enough. And we’ve got square off, too. I might want to just get naked quickly. I’m pretty sure it’s fine mid rolling, but it’s going to be easier light rolling for me at least. I feel like my biggest trap is just going to be accidentally overpunishing or just getting like really quick poked by that one. I should be able to get score off R1 here. Okay, that was almost close. Okay, he is giving me like horrendous RNG though to be fair. I really like this move set too. Although like obviously the way I’m fighting it right now is just [ __ ] ridiculous. It’s like absolute baby mode. But, you know, maybe I’ll just fight it the way I normally do instead of doing this insane stalling. Okay. I mean, normally I would roll in there to be honest, but it’s kind of easier once you’re at this range. Yeah. I’m just going to keep punishing this. He’s not giving me any of the good openings though. It’s kind of annoying. Like at least one like do the Yeah. Okay. This one. Maybe stagger. Nope. What is bro up to? Maybe stagger on this. Oh [ __ ] Beautiful. There’s the stagger finally. See, that’s why square off is so good, though. That does 40 poise damage, which is completely insane. Okay. Don’t know why I hit there. Do not clip me. Thank you. Yeah, it’s just an insanely strong ash of war. It’s kind of what keeps one straight sword on its own in the conversation for being an actually good weapon. But to a degree, that’s like stupid, right? Because the only reason it’s in the conversation is because straight swords are the only weapon class that can use square off. So they’re like gatekeeping the good Ash of War to keep themselves good cuz outside of that, one straight sword on its own is kind of dog [ __ ] Anyway, there’s the ornamental straight swords as well. Glad I got that first try and didn’t have to reset the entire run immediately. Okay, so as always, I’m going to be rushing to the DLC as soon as possible. On this run, there are three straight swords in the DLC. I believe that’s the sword of light, the sword of darkness, and then the stone sheets sword. Technically, you’re only supposed to get one of those three, but I will use cheats to have multiple of them because I mean, I wanted to see them all, I guess, and test them all out. Those are pretty interesting weapons, mainly because they both have Ashes of War that buff your holy damage or debuff enemies holy resistance. So, we’re going to have a pretty insane holy damage build going on by the end of this, especially considering how many other straight swords are also focused on holy. Like you got the Michelin straight sword that comes with sacred blade and you’ve got golden epitap and like coded sword. That’s another holy damage straight sword. There’s just a lot of them for some reason. We can build into that. And obviously ornamental straight swords I’m literally holding right here. And then obviously in the DLC, we’ve also got Vana’s cameo, which is going to be really [ __ ] good with Square Off, which is already like insanely busted. The one downside to square off though is that its damage isn’t so good, just cuz straight sword damage isn’t so good. But with Rana’s cameo and probably Warrior Jshard, the damage should actually be like really really solid, if not just incredible. I think I’m also probably going to end up using a lot of like power stancing on this run because power stance trade swords are genuinely extremely strong outside of square off and other ashes of war and just like relying on Ashes War really. That’s probably the best way to use them on a multi-hit setup. So I’ll see if I can really max out the damage on those as well. For now though, I think I’m just going to level up so I can use this weapon and then we’re going to go kill Margin and Godric cuz ornamental straight swords is very very good for early game. You need a couple points of decks. Yeah. Yeah. Easily. I’m pretty excited for this one if I’m being honest. I was looking forward to this one when I was thinking about doing this series because I feel like it’s maybe one of the less talked about or explored weapon classes, but I feel like it’s really [ __ ] strong. And I’ve honestly used it surprisingly little outside of Square Off and have wanted to try more stuff out with it for a while, especially with like power stancing things like ornamental straight swords. Like super super fun to use. Okay, I think we just go straight into BOG. Let me buff my weapon quickly. I’m pretty sure this should be like decently good here. Yeah, even though this is holy damage, which he’s like 40 resistance to, this should be decently good cuz it’s self itself buffs for 100 additional like holy damage, which you know in early game just having a lot of flat AR is really good even if they’re resistant to it. So, this is probably just going to outdamage like most things at this point in the game, unless they also had another way to add flat AR. Also, it’s kind of unfortunate that I’m pretty sure Marget doesn’t quite have large enough openings for me to use the heavy attack on this thing, which is like the million pokes that the grafted scion does, cuz that is like the really really sick thing about this weapon. But it just takes forever to do. Like I I think I’m going to have to save it for like Mesma or somebody like Pliy. My buff right now. Uh when do I even rebuff on this fight here? Surely I can get away with it. Yeah, we’re fine. We kind of need to keep it up cuz it’s just so much more damage. Yeah. Like look at that. Also, this is what I’m talking about with the power stance move set, right? It’s like all these attacks where you’re slashing with both at the same time. It’s like the opposite of uh what were we using? The rapier one where you’re attacking with one at a time. Like look at this, dude. It’s perfect. The cross slashes. It looks so [ __ ] good and it’s like actually extremely solid. This is what they should have done with the rapiers or at least just poked twice at the same time. Goodbye. They also just look really sick. I really really like these weapons. Genuinely, they’re so much fun to use. And let me let me just show the actual the heavy attack. Isn’t that [ __ ] amazing? That’s going to go crazy when we have a actual multiit setup. I’m literally just going to do the exact same thing to Godric. I think maybe I can get the heavy attack off on Godric. You can do the tap heavy though, actually. Let me show that this which just does the final hit. Obviously, it doesn’t hit as hard, though, and like it doesn’t build up multi- hit. It’s probably still decently good. I wonder how much poise damage it does. The only thing is it’s like obviously going to be doing less damage than like two R1’s. Yeah. Oh, right. That was pretty good there, though. again like 40 holy damage resistant boss just gets absolutely shredded by this weapon cuz it gets a bunch of flat damage which is super nice. I love this weapon man. I really really like it. I’m probably going to use this quite a bit. I definitely want to use it for Messmo. I think it would be very well suited for him. It’s probably well suited for everything to be honest cuz even though it has holy damage which obviously a lot of major bosses in the base game resistant to, it primarily scales with decks. So you’re pretty much just getting physical damage with deck scaling and then like a little bit of holy on top. Look who it is. my [ __ ] least favorite guy. Jesus Christ. That did like really not that much damage, actually. It’s kind of disappointing. It does look like it [ __ ] hurts, though, so maybe that’s better even. Bye-bye. 1,000 little pokes to the head. It is super tempting to kill Alex on this run because we are going to be using Square Off early, but it’s probably not worth it cuz I want to see the max damage on some of these Ashes of War later on. So, I guess he’ll live again as always. To be honest, I am 100% doing Rise Quest again this time. Primarily because we’re really going to need those somber stones in Volcano Mana, but also because free Gambit. And I’m back. You ever think about how far you could have traveled in the real world with how much time I just spent collecting those items in game? Isn’t that interesting? Like probably pretty far. Anyway, to get to the DLC early, we need to kill Rodan and then do Var’s quest and then kill Moog. So, Rodan is next. And for Rodon, I think I want to use Yokad’s dancing blade. Yes, I had to look up how to pronounce that. I’m still not sure if I got it right at all. It It’s so unintuitive. It’s insane. Really? E O C H is yoke. That’s not right. Come on now. That’s just absurd. Anyway, that’s the one that’s like mini Marius executioner sword. I’m pretty sure it is like absolute garbage, but we will try it. So, to get Yad’s dancing blade, there is a little jump we can do, I think, to skip the entire dungeon you’d normally have to go through. So, I’m going to try and do that. And then on top of that, I probably also want blue dancer charm and winged sword insignia and goddess great rune, of course. And then I think I’m also going to get it to plus six. So, if we go to volcano mana, which obviously we can do pretty easily cuz we did rise quest, we can get a free five and six. And then we can get 1 through four from EG. So, that’s what I’m going to do. Starting with figuring out whether I can do this jump. I’m going to see if I can just do it based on my vague memory. Okay, it would totally be faster to just Google this. It’s in a totally different spot than I thought. It’s all the way around here. Surely I get this first try. Oh, wait. This is super easy. It’s shocking how well your horse sticks to that wall. This is it. Beautiful. Okay, that was really, really easy, actually. Yeah. So, this comes with Yukad’s dancing blade, which is the same Asher war as Mario’s executioner sword. This thing, but supposedly not so good, unfortunately. I suppose we could get Godfrey icon as well. Okay, let’s get Rodri’s great rune quickly. Oh, wait. This doesn’t do pure physical damage. I guess we should probably get ritual sword talisman instead of blue dancer charm. Okay, there’s Godric’s great rune. As always, I’m going to be toggling run on inol just because I am going to die too much because I’m testing stuff to make an more interesting video and I don’t want to farm rats for runarchs when I die. Let me level up these few points of arcane. Oh [ __ ] that’s actually kind of bad. I don’t have enough runes. Uh, that’s not going to be enough either, is it? Even if I used everything I had, I wouldn’t have enough. There we go. Now we have a different problem. I need to level up my weapon, but I’m poor. We can probably get it like one level maybe. Yes, one level and then I’m too poor. Where can I get a bunch of runes? We’re going to have to kill Gilica and go to Frey. Anyway, I guess we could go do that now for runes. Hello. Time to get big sword in the face. No, that’s not the real damage. Why is that so little on most of the hits? Uh, okay. Well, now I have to remember this fight. I should really heal. Okay. Yeah, it’s probably better to go with the automatic straight swords, though. Okay, let’s try this again. This time, not so dog [ __ ] Yeah, that’s way better damage. She’s in way too small of an arena, by the way. I don’t know if I ever I’ve ever mentioned this cuz most of the time you just walk in, okay, you just walk in and insta kill her, but she’s in way too small of an arena for a boss that moves around as much as she does. Like I actually did some pretty dedicated practice on this boss before Night Rain to the point where I was able to no hit her fairly consistently, but you’d still get situations where Oh my god, that was terrible. Where you’d really just not be able to tell what the [ __ ] she was doing because she’s just like flailing around in the arena. She clips out of bounds like constantly. It’s just really stupid. It it’s one of those baffling decisions where it’s like it would have been so easy for you to not have done that and it should be immediately apparent upon any testing that she’s in too small of an arena because it happens every time that there’s at least one problem with it. But I don’t know. I they’re probably stretched insanely thin with how much [ __ ] there is in this game. Somebody somebody type in from soft glazer. I know I I get it. I’m coming to their defense every single time. But taking into consideration the fact that that’s some like busted chopped up [ __ ] as a whole. They did a really good job with the polish, but like I’m I am like, you know, I’m still saying I feel like it would have been an easy fix and it’s a very peculiar choice. Okay, anyway, let’s kill Godroy for even more runes. I guess we get to see more ornamental straight swords, which is nice. In the meantime, I better have stone sword keys. I do. Thank god. Nice. Somehow whiffed that. Okay, damage is not so bad. This guy is like genuinely very tanky, so doing him this early is not what you’d necessarily want, especially with a plus zero weapon. He could probably also one-shot me. Fortunately though, he’s like easy as [ __ ] and I know him super well, so I just shouldn’t get hit. That’s what you’re here for. Like she should have traded places with uh like blood hound knight for example. You could have put blood hound knight in that tiny arena and it would have been probably fine. Especially considering we don’t have like a proper setup going. We’ve just kind of got like a bare bones couple of pieces. Like maybe it would be okay if we had wings sword insignia and milisence prothesis and multi hit tier. But you like you know it’s [ __ ] up already when you’ve got me coping and the fight hasn’t even actually started. Like this thing is going to be so chopped. It’s beyond belief. I swear to God though if I use the ash of war and it does less damage than like a tap or two that will actually kind of piss me off. Like cuz what sort of nonsense are they smoking? That was decently meaty. I mean, it is like a 40-second long animation. Pretty much every other plus six weapon in the game would beat it, but it’s not the worst damage I’ve ever seen. Ooh, wow. Right on phase transition, too. That’s so much like free damage. Maybe I can even do one of these. Oh, wow. Okay. Yeah, insane free damage to carry into phase two. I love how he just fades in. I mean, what else were they supposed to do? I guess have him fly in from behind the castle, but I don’t know. He like Rodan shouldn’t cross fade. Good rolls. Very good rolls, actually. I can definitely think of at least one weapon that would have done worse there. And that’s something considering how doomer I was about this going in. But it’s definitely on the weaker end for a plus six weapon going into Red. That’s for sure. It’s just about okay. With that being said, I will not be using it again. Okay, so with that done, let’s head to Moog. I think Moog is definitely another square off situation actually because basically any type of elemental damage is pretty terrible against him, especially holy cuz he’s super resistant to it. So I want to use physical damage. So I think I’m going to go with square off and then we’ll grab glintstone wet blade here as well as leveling this thing up to plus 12 and that should be pretty good cuz square off is just broken. It should be fairly quick to get from here to Moog. Okay, there’s the bell bearing. Let’s level this thing up. Okay, plus 12 broadsword. Let’s quickly go down to Shiffra and grab square off Ash of War like as an actual Ash of War so that we can put infusions on this. It’s kind of a pain that we have to do this if I’m being honest. I really wish you could just infuse on the base Ash of War like how it used to work in the old games. I think you should be able to infuse something without being forced to put a different ash of war on it is my point. I think that’s really annoying. Seems so unnecessary to have to go out of my way now to go get square off as an ash of war just so I can have square off and an infusion. I don’t see why that isn’t just an option. I’ve been dabbling with the idea of beating the game in reverse where I start from like PCR and then I have to beat the whole game backwards. Like it’s PCR and then I think I could just walk through the letter fight without having to fight cuz technically I’m leaving it. And then I would have to fight for Amina and I’d have to do all the running sections backwards and then Mesma and then like the rest of the DLC remembrances and then back to base game through Moog and then I’d have to fight like the remembrances in some reverse order. I’m not sure how I would order it. Maybe based on scaling like it would be Moog and then Mellennia Loretta and then like Ratagon Elen Beast and Horalu and stuff and then back to Fire Giant etc. I think that would be kind of interesting. Although it would be quite difficult to figure out how exactly I’m going to do that. Okay, mimic tier. I am getting naked for sure. Ow. Just be squared off. [ __ ] Insane square off counter. I think my main goal at the moment is just setting everything up so that I’m ready for Mesma cuz there’s so many things I want to test on Mesma and I need to have my build like fully prepared for it. Let’s go do Var’s quest. I forgot to go talk to the [ __ ] finger lady. That actually would have been useful cuz we get another talisman pouch. Wait, considering that talisman pouch, we don’t really have anything good to fill this. Let’s get blue dancer charm or something to put in there. See, this dog is the only dog with self-confidence. We do have a plus 12 weapon obviously, but still he’s surprisingly punishable. Hello. Not even a one shot. That doesn’t bode well for a Moog damage. Okay, tear off my finger. I kind of think he gets smoked here to be honest with you. I don’t think he stands a chance against Square Off. He’s going to get staggered so much even with like having higher poise. I believe he has like 100 poise or something. 120 maybe. He’s just going to eat so many staggers that he’s going to die insanely fast regardless of what we do. Obviously, I have to not [ __ ] it up and get hit a bunch and we have to wait for him to walk down the stairs. If you’re wondering why I’m holding a torch as well, by the way, it’s because I want to use the one-handed move set, but I also still want to be able to block and I’ve got the Ash of War no skill on my torch so I can still use the Ash of War of my right-hand weapon. There’s a stagger big. Yeah, damage is looking very, very good. And there’s a frost as well. So, 20% more. Yeah. I mean, look at that on a [ __ ] square off. Like, that’s just wild. Especially considering the main downside to this thing or to square off is that it’s like the low damage ash of war. Yeah, we are going to lose like 90% of the damage we just did though. I also did very inefficient drinking. Uh this is a little bit awkward. Okay, we’re fine. That was kind of sketchy, but I played it. Okay. Okay, good. Like, we’re back. Never mind. He keeps putting me in this situation where I’ve got blood flame on either side of me. I do not like it at all. I also do not like him stalling me out or this situation. Like what the [ __ ] Please be normal now. I definitely could have done a square off though. I do it though. Yeah, really good ash of war for Moog as well cuz there’s a lot of openings for square off. And if you’re wondering, Square Off R1 is really good, too. It’s not just about square off R2. I thought I might be too far. was probably very close. Square off R1 does 30 points damage obviously. Square off R2 does 40. There’s another stagger. Beautiful. And there’s another Frost. Damn. Pretty sure it’s fast enough for me to do that as well. Ah, I kind of can’t approach on this. So, we not have to uh Yeah, we’re fine. See, I think I feel like dodging that attack in that way is way way better than dodging it in the other way, like where you rotate around just positioning wise. Like, being able to control the angle he’s facing a lot more precisely is just very, very nice. That was actually very close to the blood flame. He is dead. Beautiful. Just so [ __ ] buttery smooth. Actually, that was so clean, dude. That might have been one of the best MOS we have had in a while. Actually, even if we didn’t necessarily kill him quite so fast as some of those like absolute melting Mes we had with the highle somber weapons, I still feel like that was better just cuz it was didn’t feel like there was any moment where the fight got out of my control. We just completely destroyed him. All right, into the DLC. Okay, so I believe the things that I want from the DLC are the sword of lights and the sword of night. Obviously, I can’t have them both at the same time, but I’m just going to get one of them and then cheat the other one in, which requires me getting the stone sheath sword, which is kind of like on the way to Midra. And that kind of fills out most of our holy damage build that we want to do. And then I also want to get Rana’s cameo to buff square off even further. And considering I don’t want to come to the DLC without at least fighting something. I think we’ll also kill gas cuz he’ll be a good test of holy damage stuff cuz he’s kind of weak to holy. So maybe we like, you know, do some power stance stuff with the sword of light and then beat up gas. That does mean we’ve got like a fair bit of running around to do. Especially since I’m not exactly that knowledgeable about how this whole sword of nights, sword of light thing works. Like I’ve never done that before. Blade of Mercy is probably really really good with straight swords as well. If you’re running square off, you just get so many staggers. I’ve got to do a video that is just the stance Ashes of War. I know I kind of end up using them a lot when they come up anyway. But especially considering like a lot of the time I want to use them for literally everything and I don’t get the chance to. I’m going to be forced to learn Fire Knights cuz they’re going to be in Night Rain DLC. I will finally actually have to learn them. I really hope they’re not a disappointment after all this time. I’ve been talking about learning the Fire Knight move set with the expectation that they’re going to be a really good enemy, but they could just be some straight ass really cuz that dagger one does spam a lot. Also, yes, I am very excited for Night Rain DLC. How could I not be? Huge expansion to a game I really like. Although I have largely stopped playing Night Rain. Definitely going to be coming back for the DLC. I know some people weren’t the most pleased considering it sort of fails to address the major problems. Like I saw the the Domo tweet where he was talking about how it doesn’t seem like they’re going to do anything about the randomization problems that the game has, which I totally understand. I know he got raped over the coals for that one a bit, but I mean what he’s saying, I think people misunderstood it a little bit as being like a sort of ungrateful for the update, but I mean he he’s right like the game has serious problems with randomization that make runs a lot more similar. I think Depth of Night was a a good step in the right direction with that, especially when it comes to like interesting riskreward decision-m with the red items and making it so the castle isn’t the be all and end all of your match. But I still think the game could be a lot better with fairly minimal changes, which is kind of what Domo was getting at. With that being said though, them adding a bunch of new bosses and enemies and areas, shifting lands, things like that, I’m all for it. Okay, we can actually get to stone sheath sword a lot easier. Normally you have to do some weird thing with the fire knight. Not fire knight, the fire golem, but you could just do this. Maybe that’s There’s stone sheath sword. So that’s what we need to get ourselves a sword of light. I’m going to have to look this part up cuz I’ve never done this part. Oh, I see. Okay, so when you pick up the stone sheath sword, you can go to one of the two other altars to make the sword of light or the sword of night. So we can turn it into the sword of light by going to the raw ruins. So let’s go there. Now, clearly I didn’t explore very thoroughly in the DLC because there’s a [ __ ] invisible bridge in this section that I’ve never seen before. Shackle. Yeah, I think it’s over here. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. So, we have a broken bridge here, which is actually an invisible bridge for some reason. And this is the altar where we can get a sword of light. Okay. Give me sword of light. Thank you. It is very pretty. It also has a really weird ash of war. So, I’m pretty sure this increases all sources of holy damage we have by 20%. Okay. And also in the interest of actually testing all of these straight swords. Okay, there we go. All right, beautiful. We have both of them. Totally legitimate sword of darkness and sword of light. See, look, they fit so well together. I want to level them up a bit. Okay, we can actually get fives and sixes fairly easily by going to Castleensus, which we’re going to have to do anyway cuz we want Rana’s cameo. With sword of light, that’s fine, but with sword of darkness, I’m pretty sure you have to hit the enemy with it and then it reduces their holy defense. And the animation is very long. I don’t think there’s any way. Whoa. I don’t think there’s any way we’re hitting gas with that unless it’s on this. Um, let me test it. Okay, it definitely wasn’t safe, but I did actually get away with it. So, our damage should be really, really good here if he’ll give us an opportunity to hit him. I mean, that’s not looking bad. Okay, you know what though, for plus six, that’s actually pretty [ __ ] impressive. The only thing we’re really lacking on this like on the power stance move smooth set is poise damage. Like you just do zero poise damage. I guess that’s the trade-off, right? Like you go square off, you get all the poise damage in the world. Okay, maybe we can reup this. I’ll be shocked if this is safe even. Oh. Oh my god. I We’re so lucky. We’re actually unbelievably lucky. We just got ridiculously lucky two times in a row. That’s crazy. I cannot believe I kept the buffs up. I was convinced that I was going to be able to keep either of them up. I mean, the damage with both buffs does look really solid for plus six in the DLC, like super early. Especially considering it seems like these things don’t get good scaling until way later. All right, goodbye. Just destroyed him. Really, that was very impressive. Well, I mean, it’s very impressive considering we got both but both both buffs up, which was um definitely not safe to do on gas. Also, he is weak to holy damage. Okay, back to base game. We could do something very similar to DTS and we can probably open the fight with the sort of darkness buff so that we’ll have both things up. Okay, DTS. Hopefully, I can get off the Darkness Ash of War immediately and then we can have the full buffs going. I feel like I’m just going to cast this and die. Or it stuns him. That would be really weird. I barely lived. That is a lot of damage. Holy [ __ ] That is that is an absurd amount for a single hit on double straight swords. That’s crazy. Oh, you might be dead. No, I greeted for it. I also feel like the timing of the attacks is nice though, cuz like it’s just enough of a challenge for you to rework how you fight the boss to fit square off. I got to get some drip on this run, man. I’m not fitted in the slightest. I definitely need to grab the sanctified webblade here because it disappears forever once you turn it into ash and Lindell. Oh my god. Shut up. You know what? I should also go get a Lord’s one straight sword cuz that has increased crit multiplier. So, I feel like I kind of just want to use that as the main straight sword for square off. As much as the broadsword has higher AR, it’s probably not that significant. And considering how many staggers we get, I imagine you overall end up with more damage just using Lord Sworn. I’m such a man of convenience as well. We also probably want Milison’s prosthesis because all of the power stanced move sets use a lot of multi-it. We need the ability to get weapons to max upgrade. So we’re going to need to kill godskin duo. We also want Alexander Shard for the Ashes of War. And I think that’s it. So basically, we’re going to need to kill Nile, fire giants, godskin duo, and then also do some of Melison’s quest. If that’s the case, then what do we start with? You know what would be really good for Nile actually? Sword of night and flame. Yeah, I mean it just makes too much sense, especially since we have all this fate and the fire part of the ash of war is really good. Let’s go get that. Let’s kill Nile. Get the multiit here. I’m kind of not 100% sure what I want to do for God duo. I kind of like the idea of testing the uh Ashes of War on Sword of Light and Darkness to see if they do enough damage to like script them. I imagine they won’t, but it’s worth a shot. And it’s probably like the only time we’re going to be able to use them for damage because they just take so long to come out that unless we have a literally sleeping target, it’s probably not going to happen. You might be thinking at this point I could use the uh sleep straight swords, but I did that before on another run. I don’t remember which one it was, but it was [ __ ] garbage. It did not work at all. We do actually have access to pretty good buffs already this time for once because we picked up the commander standard from O’Neal and we grabbed how earlier. Honestly, let’s start with what I’m expecting to be the weakest. Let’s do [ __ ] Dark Souls 3 build and then Twimblade Talisman as well. See, I’m literally Dark Souls 3 R1 spamming on the broadsword. This is gross crest shield, I promise. Okay, let’s see how good one-handed R1 spam with twin blade talisman. So, the final hit of our R1 string will do 45% more damage. It’ll probably still be pretty good, though. Yeah, just cuz you get so many attacks off. Like the one-handed move set is just obviously way better. Okay, this is what we want though. I Okay, first of all, I did one extra attack. I didn’t see how much that was on the final hit of the strength. It was like a 5k damage combo though, which uh considering some of the numbers we’ve seen on Mesma, I think probably the highest was like 15,000. That’s really not anything impressive at all. Let me give it one more try. We should have multi head like fully sacked here. Okay, no thrust strife. M this is not this is not looking like anything. Yeah, this is not looking like anything. Unfortunately, Dark Souls 3 build. It ain’t it. Nah, Dark Souls 3 build is not the way. Oh well. Moving on then. Another thing I wanted to try was power stanced with the twin blade talisman because the power stance move set makes it to the end of the combo string really really quickly. Like it doesn’t have actually that many attacks. It’s just this. Let’s try it. Okay, please do thrust strike. Oh my god, I actually can’t catch a [ __ ] break. Come on, thrust rife. Thank you. Ooh. Okay. Yeah. Now that’s a [ __ ] enormous hit right there. Damn. Phase two. Yeah. The only problem with this one is when your lightning slash runs out, it’s such a pain. Holy [ __ ] You see that double hit? That was unbelievable. I’m completely out of st. Okay, this one is extremely good though, for sure. I mean, it’s kind of what we expected. It’s basically just two straight swords again. But uh the twin blade talisman did put in work there. It’s kind of a shame, right? Twin blade talisman cuz like I always want to use it cuz it’s so tempting when you see the like 45% damage increase on the final hit. I mean that’s just such a huge multiplier that it sounds like it’s going to be so good. But I’ve never really found a particularly good use for it. You know what I mean? Okay. Anyway, let’s try square off. I feel like square off is slightly less valuable in the DLC though than it is in the base game cuz everyone has more poise damage. I mean, for comparison, we did like 5,000 damage on the uh entire R1 combo string with Twin Blade Talisman when we were doing one-handed R1 ones. That’s how much damage that is. It can’t be doing that.” But no, it really wasn’t nearly as bad as I thought it was going to be. Hey, but I’m 22 now. I’ve been told that I’m unk and that it’s over for me and that I’m done for. And if I’m not anything now, I would never be anything. So it’s good to know. Also, I think people already knew how old I was, but I’m sure for certain people it was probably a surprise. I feel like I’ve got to practice dancing lion more so that I’m consistent on lightning phase cuz the lightning breath is such a [ __ ] nightmare to deal with. And if you have no idea what I’m talking about, I’m pretty sure I Okay, you know what? No, no, no. If you have no idea what I’m talking about, Dancing Lion’s Lightning Breath tracks better than the other breath attacks that he does, which makes it impossible to dodge by simply running to the side if you are close to him. If you’re far away, you can still do it like I did just there. And if you’re close, you can do this weird dodge where you run into the side of him. It’s super uncomfortable and awkward and like requires a very fast reaction to it on an attack that’s like pretty uncommon because he’s technically not supposed to do it when you’re close anyway. So, it’s always a stored attack. So, it’s very difficult to practice like effectively. Um, and I don’t know. I when I tested it on like repeat actioning the attack, it felt super inconsistent. Anyway, it’s just Oh, it’s just a [ __ ] show. I reset the buff on my other weapon accidentally. Oops. Probably shouldn’t have two-handed. That’s why I’m up here. Um, so what I try Oh my god. What I try to do, Damn, that’s a lot of damage. is um stay like once if he puts me in a dis uh at a distance using an attack, I’ll try and stay at a distance until he does an attack that brings me back in so I lower the chance of getting a stored input, which kind of works, but I don’t know. Oh, he’s also dead. Which kind of works, but I feel like occasionally I still get a close-range lightning breath where I it just [ __ ] me and it’s really annoying. I wish there was a good way to deal with it. Let’s do Romina next, I think, just to continue with fire damage stuff. Although, something that would be kind of interesting as well is to get wet blades that gives me flame art infusion and then I can use whatever ash of war cuz I kind of want to see like well, first of all, I want to see square off obviously, but I think I also want to see like a storm blade on Ramina. So, having a bit of range on Romina is very, very strong. Maybe it’s a situation where it’s like I have storm blade in my off hand. That’s probably good. All right, let’s get out of here. Actually, did we kill Leonine and Crucible? kind of a good boss for us cuz it’s fire damage weakness both of them. I mean, they’re going to die so fast, but I’ll have like a second of fun. I do really like both of these bosses. But this is another one of those uh nonsense duo bosses. Oh, terrible spacing from me. Um yeah, another one of those nonsense Elvin ring duo bosses where it’s like, yeah, just slap two random enemies together. At least like in this one, it kind of I don’t know, there’s a little bit of uh consideration to it because obviously they delay the Crucible Knight coming in, but it’s not like considerable. That just turns it from just straight up two poorly fitting things into a DPS check, which really isn’t that much better. I mean, it’s still fun though cuz the enemies are fun. Anyway, what was I doing? Right, Roina. Yeah. Yeah. I feel like this setup should be extremely strong. Although I don’t know how square off is going to work here really. I haven’t thought through where it’ll be good, but I mean she has decently large openings. Like I should be able to do it here. Yep. And then I can probably do this here. I could honestly probably get a Rana’s cameo hit there even considering how much extra time I have. You know, it would be kind of insane optimization. Wait, maybe I can do here. Something I haven’t really tried very much is going strike damage though because for some reason shadowy avatar is actually weak to strike as well and the stone sheath sword does strike damage. Uh so let’s level this up and try it. Okay, plus nine. That should be enough. I also just realized that we are doing very little damage with this weapon because it is purely strength scaling. I might want to respspec very quickly, which does mean we’re going to have to respspe back into Faith probably, but that’s not such a big deal. Let me go murder Rana. Oh yeah, beautiful. Like, he is weak to this element to to strike damage, so it should be decent. Um, I guess some of the blame is on the weapon though, probably if it does badly. Okay, never mind. We’re all good. I’m really glad that they actually decided to bother making this do strike damage cuz feel like a lot of the time, you know, weapons that should do one or the or look like they should do one or the other damage type just won’t, you know, like how so few things in the game don’t do slash damage even though they’re obviously slashing. I mean, not that everything should do slash because it would be really over prevalent if everything that actually physically slashed did slash damage, but it’s so infrequent that it seems a little much. Like, it seems unintuitive. So, I appreciate that they bothered to actually make this do strike. It’s also really nice that you can have a variety of damage types in each weapon class. You know what I mean? I feel like there should be an option for almost every weapon class that covers all the damage types. Actually, maybe that’s not entirely true, but like a strike damage katana. Actually, no. You know what? A strike damage katana would be sick if it was like a like a training katana that was just a wooden sword. Wouldn’t that be actually really cool? See, I you know what? I’m actually was I was right with my first statement. There should be one of every damage type in every weapon class cuz that like forces you to come up with something weird. I can’t believe they haven’t done that before. Actually, that’s such a good idea. Right. Imagine you people would use that immediately. People would lap that [ __ ] up if there was a a strike damaged katana that was a training sword. They would love that. I mean, I would love that. I I think that would be like that would be like a fan favorite weapon immediately. They got to do that. Probably have insane lore, too, cuz you could attach it to some character later on. and then be like, “This was his katana when he was training or something.” I don’t know. Even take one of the dumbass NPCs like uh Okina. Damn, it’s kind of weird staggering Shadow Tree Avatar cuz you basically never stagger him. It me when I gender a flower. Goodbye. That might have been one of the cleanest Shadows Tree Avatar kills I’ve done. And I was just completely talking about something else throughout the entire thing. Just wasn’t paying attention at all. The damage did look good though. Yeah, I don’t know if it was quite as good as fire damage. Like it was probably comparable to fire damage when you don’t have many points in faith, which is honestly really solid cuz most of the time that’s what you’re doing anyway. Okay, where to next? One of the things that I did want to do is grab all of the pieces of a holy damage build to use on putrescent, which is going to require me to go to the hik tree to get Michelin nights sword. So, what if we just did Loretta and Mellennia now got all the stuff and then when it did putresent, I think that is a good idea. If you’re ever struggling with this part, get the great bow and just threw and through. I used to die here every time and now I never die. I feel like I’m selling something when I use that sentence structure. Sorry, I sound like a [ __ ] infomercial. Actually, you know what? We haven’t done literally a tool this run. Just use a single straight sword two-handed. We’ve never done that. Let’s just do it here. I doubt it’ll be even slightly comparable to the sort of things you’ll get when building for like square off or power stanced, but I should at least try it. Yeah, we’ll go with a pure charge attack build. You know what would be a good idea for comparison quickly? Power stance these two sword like as a baseline. We’ll see how good this is. Obviously, a second sword, a second straight sword with lightning slash would be way better, but I don’t have that set up. I mean, honestly, the damage isn’t anything crazy. I How did I not get a second hit there? I totally inputed it. God, double straight source is just so busted, dude. Like, literally the only thing that it doesn’t have going for it is the lack of poise damage. Okay, anyway, that was the damage. Now, let’s try charge heavy builds with the physic. I I kind of don’t mind the charge heavies on this. They’re a little slow, but the real problem with them is just they kind of lack Wow, I’m so ass. They lack decent damage. like they really don’t hit nearly as hard as I feel like they should for how long they are. And I get that that’s not really how you’re supposed to use the weapon, but it’s also like well the R1’s aren’t anything crazy either, especially not uh what two-handing big stagger. I probably should have lightning slashed that two. Oh my god. You know, that’s actually crazy how much more damage it is to do lightning slash. I’m really not fighting this well. I guess it is probably better DPS just R1 actually shockingly. And you’re dead. I don’t know. It’s weird. It’s a weird spot. this charge heavy builds on straight swords are just it feels like when would you ever use them over the other options that you have like that is the time where this weapon class feels weak. Obviously that kill looked pretty good still but Loretta is decently weak to lightning and also she just doesn’t have much health. And if you’ve seen some of my other videos you’ve seen me delete Loretta on much weaker builds really. So that’s really not all that impressive. It’s kind of the thing I was saying about straight swords like right at the start of the video if you remember where I was talking about how square off almost puts them in the conversation like they become relevant as a weapon class because of square off and it’s like well if you’re only relevant as a weapon class because you’re hogging the good ash of war like that kind of sucks. No, I am also going to do Mellennia now because she’s right here. I have some cool stuff to show for her. Actually, one of the things I kind of wanted to use for her was the uh rotten straight sword. Let’s Let’s hit him with the crystal barrage. Okay, so I have a couple of cool things I want to do on Millennia. The first of which is just using rotten crystal sword. So, this weapon seems like it would be kind of terrible for Millennia because it’s somber. So, you can’t change the ash of war. Um, and obviously it does like rot. It does scarlet rot, which millennia is stupidly resistant to. Um, but because it comes with spinning slash, which is like so quick to come out and combos together, uh, and then also combos into an R1. It’s actually surprisingly good for her. Wow. Um, like I don’t know if we’ll do it this time, but when I was testing this weapon, I was proing rot on Millennia extremely consistently, which is a very difficult thing to do. Also, we should be doing it every single time. It’s just that I’m not getting my punishes perfect like I used to cuz it’s been a while since I’ve used spinning slash on lane, honestly. But yeah, this Asher war is disgustingly good against her. It’s so strong. I’m actually thinking now maybe I’m wrong and I can do spinning slash into tap R2 into R1 because the other thing on Millennia that’s really good about straight swords. Okay, it doesn’t seem like yeah. The other thing that’s really good about straight swords on Millennia is that the uh heavy attack combos into the light attack. So you can do tap on two into R1. You can do charge heavy into R1, things like that. And you can also do like running heavy into R1. It honestly makes the base move set of uh straight swords like really good. You just do this every single time and that is safe. And I’m pretty sure it does over 40 po damage. So she staggers in two of them. So yeah, straight sword’s good. I really wish I propped rot though. It may be that we’re doing too much damage for me to get it off cuz we are Oh, there. No, there’s the rot. Okay, it’s kind of late honestly, but normally you proc it sooner. I feel like unless like we’re on a very late game build, but if we had not quite so good damage, we’d probably proc it a lot sooner. But that is a super super good way to fight Millennia on a weapon that is kind of not so good. Basically, just as a whole, let’s do square off next. I think fairly predictably, it’s really good. I actually don’t know if you can get anything done with Rana’s cameo here. Now that I’m thinking about it, there’s probably a couple of situations where you can get it off, which is actually really, really good. Okay, so I guess there are things for me to actually test here. rather than just running in and doing what I know. But yeah, square off is like very strong because in the sort of small medium openings you can get square off R1 and in the bigger openings you can do square off R2 like here. Reliance came here. Oh yeah. Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. Yeah, you can do R1 here. Yeah. 40 points damage. And then here comes the biggest repost you’ve ever seen. And then we can probably do it here as well. Yep. Wow. Yeah. Yeah. Even better. You can do it there as you can score off one there as well, but I didn’t cuz I’m an idiot. But yeah, already really strong ash of war made even better by Rana’s cameo. That’s kind of like incredible. Kind of messed that up a little bit. I mean, it was fine obviously, but my circle was a little weird. Also, you can like if you really want to be optimal, you could be throwing out heavy attacks in some of these smaller openings so that you can combo them together into light attacks, but that’s kind of unnecessary. Whoa, I actually completely did that wrong. I did like phase two stuff in phase one. I should have been hit there. Jesus. washed on Millennia, dude. Literally my most fought boss. Come on now. Can’t be doing that. And I missed. Insane. Just go into phase two, man. Jesus, that was kind of close, too. Maybe my brain is cooked. I don’t think I have enough time to rely on camera there. Maybe if I was absolutely perfect with my spacing. I completely [ __ ] missed, dude. I wasn’t even close. Maybe here. That doesn’t that wasn’t even a ranas cameo and it didn’t look safe. Beautiful. I should have had Blade of Mercy on for this honestly. Yeah, that’s super nice. Wow. God, this thing is broken as [ __ ] It’s just absolutely busted, man. The DLC made Square Off I I don’t know. I don’t want to say it’s the best ash of war in the game because I feel like I haven’t tested enough to know for sure, but it’s got to be like top three at least. Dude, it’s so strong. Like having damage as good as it does when its main pull is basically constant staggers is ridiculous. Goodbye. Such a nasty weapon. There is Mellennia done. We can go back to what we were working on, which is getting all the holy damage stuff and then fighting putrescent. So, I think there are two more things that I want to get. One is golden epitap and the second is coded sword. So, let me get those quickly. Wait, can you open this door? Oh my god, I’m so [ __ ] stupid. I had no idea you could open this. How many hours do I have in this game? 1,929 hours. And I didn’t know you could open this door. I cannot believe that. I guess cuz you can’t open in the normal round table hold. I just assumed you couldn’t. I’m such a [ __ ] idiot, man. Holy [ __ ] This is Alberick. Yeah. You know what? Actual drip kind of. Holy. Wait, that fits so well. I’m like a vampire. Okay, I’m not really sure what the plan is here cuz we just have a bunch of stuff to test. Uh I guess we’ll just use it and see how it does. Figure out what the best thing is cuz a lot of it can’t be used together. Oh, so the other thing I wanted to check is using last rights. I’m pretty sure gives you a bit of extra holy AR even if you’re not fighting an undead enemy. 1455. Okay. And then if we lost rights and then do the same thing again. 1677. Okay. So yes, that does give us a bit of holy damage. I kind of want to try Michelin nights sword first. So in theory the max damage combo here would be last rights sword of light ash of war then hit the boss with sword of darkness ash of war which I’m telling you now is absolutely not going to happen. And then buff on Michelin nights sword and hit the boss. Okay. So, physic last rights light sacred blade. Sacred blade. That takes so goddamn long. All right, let’s see this. This better be some of the best damage we’ve seen on Petersonen. Okay, I immediately messed up, but the damage is extremely good. Oh, I can’t believe I missed that. Yeah. Okay. The damage is very, very good. It’s really, really good. I’m not freaking out, by the way, because what the hell did we expect? Let’s try a different one. That’s our like baseline. All right. This time, let’s go sort of light and sort of darkness. Okay. 3,000 on a jump heavy with no multi-hit stacks. Damn. Yep. Okay. All right. A lot of damage. A very, very large amount of damage. I think that was probably quite a bit better. It’s sort of difficult to tell just from eyeballing it cuz it’s all a lot of damage. Okay. Coded sword next. All right. This is the one I really want to do. Well, this is such a weird and unique weapon. It is literally only holy damage with face scaling. All right, here we go. Classic Peterson low key. Whoa. I worst roll of all time. Oh, that’s definitely the biggest. Was that a single? Hold on. My brain broke from the damage. Was that a jump heavy that I just saw that did like 3.3k? Hey, hold on. For Bale, how about we go ornamental straight sword? We bring it back finally. Does a bunch of pierce damage, which Bale is weak, too, so it should be quite good. I might grab some throwing knives for this actually cuz it is really nice to be able to keep up poise. And I kind of want to get a stagger really badly so that I can try the full Ash of War heavy attack thing. Give me these. I feel like this may not be so good purely because we’re on the wrong stat spread cuz we got so little decks really and this is primarily a deck weapon, but it’s also pierce damage. I don’t know. I’m also like not certain about how this scales into the late game anyway. That was not so hot. Okay. All right. There we go. We’re fine. Yeah. Okay. Yeah, you just got to you got to do the attacks that pierce. Makes sense. But god, the damage on everything else is looking real bad. At least you can get the tap heavy in in a lot of places. That is a [ __ ] ton of damage when you get it off, though. That’s kind of crazy. The disparity between that and the other attacks is what’s so insane, really. I’m also going to have to find places to rebuff on this. I now realize which is not going to be many. Oh. Ah, that sucks, dude. You can’t get off the the jumping light attack in that opening, but you can get off the jumping heavy. Yeah, I can rebuff here. Yeah, we kind of going to have to keep our buff up, too, cuz we just sacrificed so much damage in the heavy changing to the shitty one-handed version and also the uh like holy AR that you get from buffing cuz otherwise like half of the talisman and like half of our physic is completely pointless which is not good. There we go. All right. Fist two. I didn’t even put the throwing knives on. Uh, got to look for lightning on the floor. Okay, we’re good. My god. Insane stored ranged attack. My buff ran out. How annoying. I guess actually jump attacks do kind of decent damage at least. So if we have to rely on something else, it could be that. We’re getting pretty good RNG, honestly. You know, that’s not the worst damage I’ve seen. Oh, wait. Come on. Please, please, please, please. Holy [ __ ] Oh. Oh my god. What’s You know what’s crazy about that is if it wasn’t for the fact that we had to do the actual buff beforehand, we probably would have got the repost as well. So, we really weren’t that far off. I can’t believe this is the first time we’re seeing this move. all fights. Okay, you know what? Take this opportunity to rebuff throwing knives to keep up, boys. We can maybe get another saga. Maybe if we’re lucky. It’s not looking super possible, huh? No, throw it at him. What the [ __ ] There we go. Oh my god, these really do no poise, I guess, cuz he’s literally just going to die. Goodbye, dude. That charge heavy really did do like an insane amount of damage, though. Holy [ __ ] It stacks the multi-hit like completely and then hits so many times with pierce damage. Okay, I think we have one last boss, which is Midra. So, let’s go. I feel like it’s been so so long since I’ve seen Jury. I did not miss his dumbass. The one nice thing here, though, is that we do actually have a weapon with increased crit damage multiplier, so he should be hitting pretty hard, actually. Wow, that is a pretty big backstab. Damn, almost 4,000 damage. Oh, hey, look. Torrrent. Wow. Let’s look at this huge woods. Thank god we have a horse so we can get through it. You think I still got it or was that not? Did that draw the the misery out of me properly or am I too joyful and happy? I need to be worn down by like 10 to 15 runs of Abyssal Woods back to back and then then you’ll get a really emotive one. I don’t think I have a huge amount to talk about this time. I’m excited for the Nightmare DLC. There’s been some stuff released about it. I’ve honestly been not paying as close attention to it as I was somewhat intentionally, somewhat accidentally. Last time I was literally eyes on everything all the time, analyzing every piece of footage to figure out exactly what enemies and bosses were in there and how everything worked so I could be as prepared as possible. This time, I’m think I’m just going to let it all surprise me. With that being said, I did see a couple of things about the characters and it seems like Scholar is going to be very strong, but the other one, the the Undertaker woman. Holy [ __ ] she looks fun. I don’t fully understand what she does, but she can like buff her attacks and then also she gets her alult and then if one of your teammates alt, she gets her alult again and it’s like a big burst damage thing where she flies in the air. That [ __ ] looks [ __ ] insane. So yeah, I’m pretty excited to play her to be honest. What I’m really looking forward to the most really is just new stuff in Night Rain and like a a a larger pool of enemies, items, areas, and stuff in Night Rain because it desperately needs that. Also, I saw that they are adding demon princes from Dark Souls 3I in which I’m just saying that was like my the first [ __ ] thing I said when I heard Night Rain concept that should have been in the game day one. It’s like the most perfect boss to be in that game. It’s like it was made for Night Rain first almost. But I I get it. they’re saving for the DLC and Arttorius, which I’m really hoping they made some more changes to than they maybe have for some of the other bosses that are returning cuz he’s going to need a pretty serious update to really feel good with Elen Ring combat. I think I talked about it a long time ago during the network test is like the difference between a night one boss like swordmaster owns and demihuman queen versus um centipede demon is night and day. You can really feel that this is a Dark Souls one boss you’re fighting and that’s kind of unfortunate. So yeah, I’m hoping that they make some serious improvements or updates to Artorius and also any other old bosses they’re bringing back, which I imagine they are and just haven’t shown us. And they they announced they’re bringing Dancing Lion in as well, didn’t they? Which I think is a good choice. I’ve played a [ __ ] ton of uh randomizer and seamless co-op, so I’m very aware of what bosses do and don’t work when you have multiple players. And Dancing Lion is very good for it works very well with multiple players, surprisingly. I’m not really sure why. Okay, I wanted to see Square off here. All right, this should be extremely good because I’m pretty sure his openings line up very well for something like square. We probably do a Ronus coming up here. That should be definitely done. Damn. I mean, that’s pretty good damage. Actually, it’s very good damage. I forget that Midro has like a trillion health. I could have done a a score of 40 there for sure. Huge. And this is going to be a gigantic post, too. Probably insta follow up. But no, wait. Did Did I miss there? Was the timing just bad. Yeah. See, this is what I’m talking about. All these small openings where you can get off a square off one. That just seems really strong. Just that’s kind of creepy for me. I’m not going to lie. I can’t believe he staggers in two of those as well. God, that is so stupid. We can do one here, too. Like, it’s just insane that, you know, he’s literally going to get off one attack here and then he’s going to go back on the floor or he’s not somehow. Wait, how are you not staggering? You have 80 points. Stop hyper armoring everything. So annoying, man. Spec. It’s like he he can hear me and he wanted to prove me wrong. I could have done like six different things that would have been more optimal there. I’m not going to lie. Oh, you’re so dead. You’re just the most dead guy. Just so [ __ ] easy. This is a disgustingly strong setup. Like, it’s actually might be one of the best ones for Midra cuz not only do you get a million staggers cuz you only has 80 poise and it fits in a lot of his openings, but you also get the crit multiplier from this weapon. Okay, that is DLC done minus meta. I never do meta. I hate meta. If you want to know why, go watch my level one DLC video critique of all the bosses. Okay, back to the base game. I guess Malach cuz we didn’t kill him for some reason earlier. I’m just going to run square off at him. You know, we’ve seen a lot of it on this run, but I like using it, so I’m going to keep using it. It’s fine. You’re all here to see Square Off anyway. A lot of the comments below the straight swords video are about square off anyway. So, people are are clearly ready to see some [ __ ] square offs. We also should be able to get Rana’s cameo off pretty consistently here, especially in phase one. Like like this and then I actually have no idea whether that was from Lana or not. I’ll do it as late as I possibly can. Okay, that was Yeah, that was a little bit greedy. Okay. Oh, okay. I totally got it off there cuz I could see it. This might be one of the more hard countered bosses. You can do a R2 there for sure as well. I’m just lazy and dead. Damn. Yeah, just [ __ ] smoked him. It might be the best in the game. It genuinely might be. Okay, Gideon. I’m just going to buff and kill this idiot. I should just be talking throughout this whole bit because it’s not like anyone actually cares about me like killing Gideon super easily. So, I’m basically just [ __ ] rolling up and smacking him in the back over and over again. Oh my Oh. Oh my god, dude. I was talking so much [ __ ] That’s unreal, dude. That’s so annoying. That is so goddamn annoying. Now I have to actually kind of fight him. I’m going to go with lightning slash. Yeah, he’s going to drink in the [ __ ] circle, of course. Oh my god. Huge lightning slash. Thank god he rolled away at that exact moment, too. Did they change his AI or something? I feel like normally he doesn’t get this close to you, but they haven’t updated the game. No way. You’re literally one shot. Yes. OFP die. Oh, [ __ ] you. Okay, I actually played that pretty well. All that [ __ ] I was talking about how nobody even cares about me fighting Gideon and I’m literally just rolling up and smacking in the back. Insane. It’s like I’m doing it on purpose, but I promise you I wasn’t. There’s no black knife assassin though, but I bet if there was, you’d be able to run up here and then like crouch behind them and then they’d sit back down as you walked through. Almost certainly. Okay, Godfrey. You know, this guy is weak to lightning damage for some reason. But we should certainly go with the jump attack build, by the way. Obviously makes the most sense. This should be one of the better builds I’ve used against him if I had to guess. I’m sure Square Off would be insane here as well, by the way. I guess maybe not so insane against um Horoo, but on Goldfrey. Yeah, this is that damage is absurd when you build up the multi-hit. Like, god damn how fast this attack is. Wow. Yeah, that was a very very quick phase, too. Any staggers? Any staggers? My god. Unstagerable. Look at that stamina management though. Oh, he’s dead. Wow. Okay, that What was that? Like 40 seconds? Not even, maybe. That’s [ __ ] crazy. Holy, that was way way better than I thought it was going to be. Really? Oh my god, that was good. That was just so good. Okay, before we go and delete the final boss, let’s kill Placi. I kind of want to go with Square Offer Ratagon and Elen Beast. One, because Ratagon is weak to strike, so we can use Stone Sheath Sword again. And two, just because it seems fitting to finish it with Square Off. So, how about we use this build again on Placi? Although, I suppose Lightning damage he’s probably kind of resistant to. He has 40 resistance to all elemental damage. Should be fine. I guess we’ll see. We’ll also see if I can do Placi. I still need to do all that practice I was talking about for him. Oh, yeah. Oh, wow. Okay. Yeah. Yeah. I really want him to do the one where he swings his tail and then turns around and gives me a massive opening. This one. Yeah. I don’t have enough stam. Oh my god, he is so far into phase two though. Jesus, bro, he is almost dead. 40 resistance to lightning damage by the way. Oh, that damage was completely absurd though. Like again, might actually just be the straight up the best we’ve seen on Classy, which is really [ __ ] up considering like we had Shard Spiral on this guy on a full ins build. Um, I don’t know what else we had. We had a we’ve had a lot of very very strong builds for this to be like maybe very clearly the strongest. Is he going to do the followup? Oh yes. Oh my god, this damage. Oh. Oh, I could have gotten even more. I kind of managed my stamina slightly incorrectly, I think. Not that I’m really complaining. About 60% of his health. There we go. I see. This is Oh my god, this is lack of experience. So obviously we screaming. Are we with He’s doing the [ __ ] big attack already. I am not in a good spot for this actually. Uh oh my god. Just barely in the right position. He might be dead off this. Oh, he is the most dead guy off this. Yep. I mean, there’s like 10,000 damage in 6 seconds. That is like some of the most disgusting burst damage in the game. We didn’t even have lightning slash up for that. That’s [ __ ] man. That is just absolutely evil. It’s so weird. This weapon class really like the peaks and the troughs of its um power. Like, it has such incredible peaks with square off and power stancing and then just the lowest of lows with using one of them on their own. I’ll take it though. I mean, this is a super fun move set, so I’m kind of glad it’s good. Okay, final two bosses. So, it’s going to be stone sheath sword phase one, broad sword phase two to take advantage of Ratagon’s strike damage weakness. If I had to guess, it probably isn’t that much better, if at all, than just using regular squirrel. Not sure if I got Rolan’s came there. I could probably do a squirrel one there. Oh. Oh, yeah. Okay, that makes sense. I was going to say, isn’t that a little early, but no, he only has 80 poison. In fact, we probably should have staggered him earlier than that. This is kind of crazy, though. How much damage we’re doing. I mean, not that we haven’t seen damage like this before on Ratagon. I probably did that a bit early. I wonder if you can just straight up do two there and just outright stagger him. You probably can. Yep. So easy. Goodbye. This might actually be one of the few times where square off doesn’t look quite so insane because it’s against a boss with so much poise. But then again, like, you know, it’s still doing a lot of poise damage. It’s just not hitting the the two two hit uh stagger break like break point that it gets on the other bosses. Actually, you know what? It’s just kind of crazy, isn’t it? I don’t know if I can go for another one there. That’s so greedy. Okay, I got away with it. Oh my god, man. He’s [ __ ] like dead. Oh, on the way out as well. That’s That’s super disrespectful for me. Big goldfish is mad. Do you think I can just pre-ame him? Yep. Uhhuh. That’s such a satisfying dodge. Here it comes. I [ __ ] love this thing, man. I love it so much. Oh, I love it so much. The damage is [ __ ] astronomical with Rana’s cameo. It really has elevated this thing for me. I don’t know. It probably is contention for best ashore in the game, if not just straight up the best. Like it might not have the versatility of something like Crab Blade, but it’s just so so overpowered in basically every situation. Good run this time. I mean, obviously you can tell the whole way through I enjoyed myself enormously, dude. This run is so much fun. I said in a previous video I was looking forward to this one, too. And I’ve been looking forward to this one since I said I was going to do this series, and it 100% delivered. Look at all the members on screen. Aren’t they so great?
