Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 | Stranger Things DLC is here with a FREE UH-1 Huey!
Hello everybody and welcome back to Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 where the free Stranger Things update has just arrived. But not only do we have brand new missions with Stranger Things, by the way, I’m going to mute this because uh the the theme song is playing. We have training missions. We have Murray’s missions and Hawkins hels with the free Bell UH1 Huey by Toggs Hanger. So, we have that a free helicopter, but on top of it, the helicopter isn’t just for Stranger Things. No, no, no. We have way more to do with it. If we go to free flight, you can see we have just a brand new helicopter. This is free for PC, Xbox, and PlayStation 5 users. If we go on into the configuration here, you can see we have cargo and rescue hoist. So, if we click on the liveries, you can see we have a great selection. Typical Toggs Hanger of giving you a p bunch of different options here. This is insane to have this for free. We’ve had Toggs Hangers 2020 version the whole time and now we have a brand new version. And that’s right, we’re clicking on career because it also supports career mode for rescue missions. And we’ll see what else it’s got going on here. So, our brand new Huey supports cargo missions. My favorite one. Oh, it supports search and rescue. Oh, that’s so cool. That’s gonna be so fun. We’ll do a separate video over that with search and rescue. Oh, man. That is I’m so happy cuz originally I was like, “Okay, maybe it’s just going to be for Stranger Things.” But no, it’s supporting the other modes in the sim as well for free. So, I think we’ll just dive straight into Murray’s missions. A new Hawkins. Hey team, it’s your pal Murray. Nice to see you finally picked up on my message. You might be smarter than you look, but we’ll see how genius this new pilot really is. Look, Hawkins needs help, and I need a tiny little favor. Nothing too crazy. I see you’ve made yourself at home with the chopper, but try not to scratch the paint cuz yeah, there’s training and all that stuff, but we’re we’re we’re proficient enough, I think. Mission one. Again, I have the music muted cuz I’m pretty sure Netflix would be mad if I was playing it. What’s up, you miss lot? Ready to play Santa’s little helper? I’ve delayed outside town and need you to drop something for me in the suburbs. 2530 Maple Street. Normally, I’d avoid flying in residential neighborhoods, but believe me, this one’s urgent. On a good day, this place should be clear of patrols, but don’t be an idiot. And keep your eyes open. No reason to get cocky out there. This is routine stuff. Just try not to scratch the paint. Okay. All right. I hope this isn’t copyright. Oh, but I might just turn off the music in general. It definitely adds to the the ambiance, but we don’t need copyright strikes to Maple Street. But yeah, I guess they recreated the entire fictional town of the Stranger Things world. Remind me, why are we doing this again? Feels like Murray’s just dragging us into another mess. What’s in that box anyway? Oh, appreciate the vote of confidence, guys. I can hear you. You know, we’re here to help Hawkins, Danny. No questions asked. Even if it means working with that mad. Hello. We have some new icons on the map. I mean, this is sweet. Something ain’t right. Who are we delivering to? A bunch of kids. Come on, Manny. Enjoy the view. Maple Street’s in a nice neighborhood. Try not to get stuck in the chimney, huh? That sleigh isn’t exactly cheap. Squeeze in between the trees. I get into first person here. I mean, this is You’re sure this is the place? Whatever Murray says, just drop off the cargo and go Santale. Even custom animation. Oh, this is Hey, bald eagle. I just found an item list that fell from the box. Three 20 packs of water balloons, a shovel, snare wire, a creepy child dummy, and a box of peanut butter boppers. What kind of grocery run is this? Are you seriously using us as your personal caddies now? We’re a bunch of nosy knows, are we? There was a folder full of crucial intel in there as well. I just bring what I’m told. All right, don’t ask. Hey, Paladin. Looks like company’s on the way and they’re not bringing milk and cookies. Crap. Looks like the only way out is that passage through the forest below. Weave through there or you’re screwed. What? Aobo, I’m going to be honest. Oh, okay. Hang on. Hang on. Let’s get lower. Let’s get lower. This is awesome. I don’t know what else to say. I mean, the fact that this is all free. We’re getting a tog hanger Huey included with it, and we have fullon missions with Christ, that was close. I I have no other words. Complete catastrophe. Can you head back now, please? Thank you. Okay, maybe we picked up a little unwanted attention over a few water balloons. But hey, look at you getting all comfy out there with the Huey, huh? Well, buckle up, pals. There’s way bigger fish to fry out there. I can promise you that. That’s awesome cuz this is just exciting to see what’s actually possible with this sim. all these custom animations. We have all this other stuff going on and new mission types. Like that’s just awesome. Let’s do one more here. And I know I’m sorry I keep saying awesome. I just This is so very cool. General station antenna went fully kaput. Not to raise any alarms, but without this thing, we’re more screwed than high school bleachers on prom night. We need a new frequency oscillator to get comms back up and running. And one of my guys screded one up from some abandoned hanger nearby. He’s waiting for a pickup at the old warehouse outside the quarantine zone. I could grab it myself, but why rob you of the fun? Once it’s secured, either deliver that thing to squawk station or risk the whole damn circus crashing down. Your call. All right, let’s go do it. Mission 294.5. All right, let’s find this old warehouse. Got a little bit of weather to deal with here. Stay below 300 ft. Easy enough. Missions take me back. The first mission together landed with one. Zero fuel left. You sound like grandpa telling his war stories again. Hey, show some respect for your old man. Appreciate it, Higgins. You see what happens when you feed a gizmo after midnight? That’s a good one. Gramps, you think Murray knows the full story? Man, we’ve had our ups and downs with him back in the days, but let’s admit it, he’s the only one crazy enough to try something. Whatever it is, I just hope we can help. Got to run this little hill here. We’ll go around the right side. Warehouse in sight. Team, let’s find the guy. Because after we’re done with this mission here, I’ll kind of showcase the um the heli tour side of it. We can kind of check out the sites of this fictional town that has been recreated here. But here, hang on. Let me let me focus here. Too busy talking. We’re just circling the warehouse. Is anybody home here? Got a visual. Oh, we picking them up. Come on in. All right, coming in fast. Murray calls this Hell Sky flyable. At least there aren’t any uninvited guests popping up on the radar. I’ve got a bad feeling. Whatever it is, something ain’t right. Even the old chopper can feel it. Stay focused, pilot. This is so fun. Like, I It’s nice. There’s a lot of dialogue going on. I don’t have to talk too much. Not to be able to talk too much anyways cuz I’ve never watched the show. Land somewhere and stay put. Kill the engine. Oh, okay. Hold up. Hold up. Hold up. Hold up. I’m working on it. This This is such a different like route for the sim and I couldn’t be happier with it. Engines off. Stop the heavy patrols out there. They’re up to something. I can feel it. Quiet. Come on. It’s not like they can hear us, right? You never know. Just ship it. Do we even see that icon? Oh, yeah. There they are. Look at the lights. Oh, wow. That’s quite a patrol, huh? Feel like I’m playing Call of Duty. Oh, the ghillie suit mission. Yep, they picked a fantastic developer for the helicopter. I’m so glad they went with Tog’s Hanger for this. Man, that was close. But what are they up to in this weather? All right, Paladin, let’s release the break. All right, let’s turn this thing back on up and get to the radio. Come on, Birdie. Don’t let us down now. Fire up. She’s seen better days. We’ll give her a proper look once we’re back. Invoice goes to Murray. Not doing his pretty face. I’m sure he’ll love that. Ah, we’re booting up. It’s all good. Nothing beats a bit of comfort food on a day like this. Squawk radio station in sight. Bald eagle. Maybe next time mention the part with the I had bad guys. Paladin survived the trip. A miracle. Well, you finally made it to the station. Hang on. Want to scoot over just a little bit here. Let’s Let’s go for this van area. Oh, let’s back it up. Let’s not clip our props. Oh, not my greatest landing there. Too much in a rush. Turn off the engine and the rotor break closer to getting this radio tower back into it only took 100 mph headwind to get the job done. Take a breather, but don’t put up any footrests. This isn’t a vacation. I’m warming up Santa’s sleigh and headed into town. Things could get messy at any moment. If the storms don’t destroy us, then laziness will. Very cool. I mean, that’s that’s really all I can say. I mean, this is such a unique experience getting a free dogs hanger Huey that works in career mode and freef flight and isn’t just tied to this new stuff, which by the way, if we can get more missions like this too, I’m all for it. That’s creepy. But we’ll save the other missions for another time here. I want to go over to the heli tours and see what that’s all about. Hawkins heli tours. You probably know this town, but not like this. This time you’re going on site to capture its most iconic locations yourself. Your mission is simple. Explore the town and photograph its most memorable landmarks. Spot them from the air, frame the perfect shot, and build your own collection of memories. You’ll be equipped with a helicopter, a camera, and an aerial map highlighting all the landmarks. Use the pause button at any time to access your map and track your real-time position. Each successful photo will be added to your Hawkins photo album along with a short description or fun facts from your favorite Netflix show. Complete an album to piece together the story of Hawkins, one image at a time. So, there’s 46 pictures to take. And now you can kind of see the buildings visually of what we have in this add-on. Hawkins National Lab, the mall. Oh, that looks nice. Look at that logo. Creole House, Brier’s H. I mean, we’ll just kind of go through it. We saw the radio station just now. And that house, Benny’s Burgers, Lover’s Lake. So, we’ll just kind of go through this really quick. Again, this is all free. What an update, aobo. I love it. Do more like this. Nice. So, this is pretty much an openw world photographer mode where you’re just exploring the fictional town. Now you can get your pictures and just see the world in a different way that you’ve seen on the TV show. That is awesome. And there we have it, folks. I hope you enjoyed this first look.
