8 AWESOME Secrets In Elden Ring Nightreign DLC!
All right, what’s going on, guys? Elden Ring Night Re: The Forsaken Hollows has been out for a little while now, and we’re finally starting to get the hang of everything that it has to offer, but one thing is absolutely certain about this DLC. The new map that it introduced is not easy to learn at all, even now, extremely confusing to navigate, but it is full of secrets. And that goes for this DLC as a whole. For example, one of the places you can spawn on the map in the Great Hollow is at a cathedral. Now, you likely already know that here. You’ll automatically have two talisman scarabs you can kill alongside several claymen enemies that are generally pretty annoying, but you’ll need to kill in order to get to level two right off the bat. And you probably know as well that the actual boss of these cathedrals is not actually inside the cathedral, but outside towards the back in the water, being mimic tier trolls at the Knox Cathedral and giant crabs at the Coran Cathedral. And you can get decent loot and runes by killing the enemies inside. But the real treasure can be found off to the other side under the waterfall where you’ll find a redeyed lobster. Now, at level two or three, this is going to be a pretty hard enemy to kill. But here’s why you’ll want to. Believe it or not, that was entirely unplanned. I literally just killed that one time to get some footage for this video. That’s right. For some reason, this lobster has a crazy loot pool. Literally, the first time I killed it, I got the ruins great sword. So, definitely worth trying to take out before you leave this spawn area, especially if you’re in a group because you may just set yourself up for the entire game. So, that’s what we’re going to talk about today. going through many secrets and discoveries in the DLC, some super useful and lesserk known gameplay tips, some hidden mechanics around the map, some fascinating lore and trivia, and if I’ll show you something today that you didn’t already know, be sure to leave a like on the video and subscribe if you’re new around here. And now, let’s get into it. Let’s start off with one today that is a little bit more well-known, but will work in tandem very well with some loot you might get from that lobster. Down in the southernmost part of the map, you can find this very large cathedral surrounded by undead enemies. A lot of times you might find a deathright bird out here or a ghost flame dragon, as well as a Zamor warrior inside that all make for great bosses to kill and get loot. But if you go inside the cathedral and jump through a hole in the floor, you’ll now find yourself in catacombs where if you constantly descend all the way to the bottom, you’ll encounter a boss. Often times, I believe it is an elder inquisitor. Now, this is a pretty easy fight, but I would recommend coming here pretty later on after you have some really good loot. And that’s because after you kill this boss, it unlocks at the back of the room a mausoleum where you can duplicate weapons. Now, you can only do this one time. That’s why I recommend waiting to come here, but again, if you got something good from the lobster or another spot we’ll talk about here in a second, this can be incredibly useful. This location isn’t specifically marked on your map as a camp. So, always try to remember it’s here. Even if you don’t need to duplicate a weapon, it’s still full of bosses. Now, what’s that other loot spot I was talking about? Well, this is one you guys have been begging me to cover. If you travel to the dead center of the map, here you will find a pod of jellyfish hovering around three bodies. This is another point on the map where the loot table for these bodies can be weighted very high, offering incredibly rare rewards. Now, I’ll admit my luck with these bodies by the jellyfish hasn’t been nearly as good as my luck with the lobster, but I was able to consistently get purple weapons out of here. And you guys swear up and down you are getting golds pretty regularly. Now, it’s pretty much a given that you’re going to pass by this spot in your game. It’s right next to a Church of America. It’s right next to the Great Crystal. And I think you’re pretty much always going to end the first or second night in this location. So, hardly an inconvenience. Make sure you swing by this spot in your game because again, the loot here can be crazy. Now, let me give you some little secret tips for Scholar and Undertaker. Let’s start with Undertaker because that’s the one I play the most. One thing you may not have noticed is that her ultimate attack is more than just a single attack. While you do only use it once and strike whatever your target is, that final strike isn’t the only thing that does damage. The entire flight path of Undertaker while using the ult will do damage around her. Take a look at the health bar of the balancers here. If you look closely, this is not one-time damage, but every balancer I pass by takes significant damage. And it’s not just splash damage from the final strike. You can see colliding with this first balancer and the second one right after. And it looks like the flight does about 80% as much damage as the final strike, which is really good for both a single boss fight and a group of enemies. But a really good way to use this is to revive teammates by aiming it at a boss behind your down teammates. So, aim it where you fly through your down teammates and then hit the boss. And that’s a really good way to still do damage and get your team up. But one of the best new ways to revive teammates is as scholar because did you know that when you get warming stones to level three, they can revive your teammates. It’s apparently very slow, but will fully revive a teammate with a one or two bar, but it would be best to give it a little help. Either way, extremely useful secret right there. Now, this one’s been going around, but we have to include it in the video. Did you know about the secret in the northern castle in the Forsaken Hollow where you can fight a variant boss? This one takes a lot of setup and is hard to pull off and is even not guaranteed, but it’s definitely worth it to do. First of all, you’ll need to have shattered the massive crystal in the middle and gain the power of the Forsaken Hollow, preferably on night one in order to have enough time. Then, as soon as day two starts, go to the northernmost castle. You should have a pretty easy time getting there. Likely hit the church on the right side and then head into the basement. Follow the sewers as far down as you can, and then you’ll come upon this blue crystal. Breaking this crystal will unlock sealed doors in the castle and activate spirit springs. Now, you’ll want to kill bosses inside the castle until you get a message that says, “A disturbance was felt on the upper level. You can find one boss directly behind that crystal and another directly up the spirit spring that it activates.” Now, it took us two boss fights in order to get the event to happen, but there you can see the alert on the bottom of the screen after we killed it. Disturbance in the heights of the fort. Now you’ll need to make your way all the way to the top. Go back down to the spirit spring we just took and take it over to this big tower. There you should immediately see another spirit spring if you landed in the right place. Take that up as well. Then go out the door to the left and climb up to the roof where you will then have a variant boss fight. Now this variant refers to the red types of bosses that you can find in deep of night depths 3 and on. Now we ended up getting a tree sentinel fight. This was actually very easy. We were pretty overpowered by now even only being level 11. But when you kill it, you will get red rewards as if you are in deep of night. So this includes red weapons which will have two big passive effects and one negative effect. Very much worth doing. These effects are super strong in a regular run and if you get the right ones, you can become very overpowered. Not only that, but you’ll be killing a lot of bosses on the way. This is a great way to get to level 15. Now, I’ll quickly throw this in here, too. Not really a secret, but each of the castles at the north and south will have a divine tower in them where you can do a boss rush all the way to the top. Very hard to pull off with the time limitations and likely getting consumed by the storm. But if you do, at the very top, you will find a great rune, which gives you the power of the false vision of a great rune, faster auto charcharging for ultimate art, and additional merc after beating the run. It’s not the best thing in the world, but if you have time to do it, it’s definitely a cool bonus to get. Now, let’s take a little trivia break. Have you ever taken a really close look at the darkness skin on Scholar? It’s already pretty creepy, but it has an even creepier secret. If you try to look at the back of his head, if you can manage to get an angle where you clip through his hood, you’ll notice that on the back of his head is a second face. From Software always likes to hide little details like this. And it’s kind of crazy because you will never see this under normal circumstances, but it’s a really cool thing to know about as a little piece of trivia. And now, another little piece of trivia about Undertaker. Did you ever notice that her exclusive move set with the hammers, one-handed, is just Ratagon’s move set. I certainly did not notice that, but apparently it’s true. If you look at them side by side, they are the same. If you were to continue a light attack combo, but again, just a cool piece of trivia. But now, let’s talk about something that will actually be extremely useful to you that the game does not tell you, and those are the weaknesses and resistances of the two new Night Lords. Now, obviously, you should know that the balancers are weak to sleep. They can be put to sleep in their fight, and it makes it very easy. And if you want to do that, then be sure to loot the chest in the spawn cathedral because it has a very high chance to drop Saint Trina’s torch, which can put the balancers to sleep instantly. But taking a look at their hidden stats, you can see they have a very small weakness to lightning damage and strike damage while being very resistant to holy, a little resistant to slash and fire. And of course, the status effect they’re weakest to is sleep, as we discussed. But just keep in mind, you don’t want to fight these guys with holy weapons. But now, let’s take a look at the dreg lord, who the game claims has no weakness, but actually does. He has a small resistance to lightning damage, is quite weak to holy damage and fire, as well as pierce and slash, and is very resistant to poison and scarlet rot, but can still be procked by it. So, be sure to bring in some holy or flame weapons. But the real secret weakness of the dreg lord that the game does not tell you is that he’s very susceptible to being staggered. And this was actually how we ended up beating him first try. We were able to dupe legendary weapons and knocko. And with that, we were just keeping him staggered for the majority of the fight. Literally spamming jump L1 with power stance weapons. And that worked like a charm. So next time you fight the drag lord if you’re struggling on him, bring weapons that do a lot of stance damage. Look out for increased stance damage upgrade. ring holy and fire and you should have no trouble beating him. Anyways though guys, those are lots of secrets, tips, tricks, and trivia that you probably did not know. And hopefully today I showed you something that you didn’t already know. If I did, like I said, be sure to leave a like on the video and subscribe if you’re new around here. Let me know any that we did not mention in this video down in the comment section below. And with all that, I will catch you in the next one. Thank you.
