How Will Hornet Get A Boat In Silksong’s DLC?

So, we know that Hornet will have some seafaring adventures in the upcoming Sunong DLC, but what exactly will be the story line and structure of the Sea of Sorrow? This is my best guess of how the DLC will play out. And I’ll throw a spoiler warning here because we’ll look at some maps that are probably going to be very relevant. Okay, up first, how are we going to access the DLC to begin with? So, most people are in agreement that this shot from the trailer is a location where we’ll be getting a new crest. And I’m starting to believe the theory that this location is actually the blasted steps because of the pillars in the background. And my thinking is that this crest will be the thing that unlocks the new areas. I’m imagining that Hornet gets a wish to save the Alchemist Master. And by binding a new crest, we get new abilities or movement to access Faroon Bay. Once we’re in Faroon Bay itself, my guess is that our first order of business is to find a ship. We will likely be in a small town with this snail NPC. And if we look at an owned map of Faroon Bay from development, there’s a good amount of land above us. My guess is that we’ll be given a quest to fetch some items from up there. And then, if we complete it, we’ll be given access to their ship. And at this point, the adventure on the open seas begins. The old maps show these disjointed rooms that appear to have a ship in them. And I think these are islands. If you squint, you can even imagine that this one is a pirate ship. Now, the YouTube description mentions a voyage across and beneath the salt stricken seas. So, at some point, we’re going to have to take a dive. I’m guessing that’s what this big vertical room is. I think we need to dive under some blockage to eventually get to the lab. Finally, if we look at an old map of the lab, it definitely looks like there’s an underwater section and then a section above ground. We’ll surface our ship, climb the tower, and fight whatever is at the top. Interestingly, it looks like there’s some green light up here. Those could be candles. And if so, you could convince me that this is actually the location of the crest binding. So obviously a ton of speculation here, but I feel pretty confident about the overall structure being Far Bay into seaf fairing into lab.
