Dave the Diver – Official In The Jungle DLC Overview and Developer Update
Hello, I’m Cheo, head of MRO studio and director of Dave the Diver. [music] 2025 has passed so quickly. Time really flies. As many of you know, MRO spawner from Nexen on [music] November 1st, 2024, becoming an independent subsidiary. Thanks to everyone, Dave the Diver ended up being far more successful than we ever imagined. [music] To make sure this does not remain as a simple luck, we work out to organize and [music] improve our internal pipeline as a new company. This year was a bit slow, [music] but I think we’ll be able to share a lot more exciting news starting next year. Oh, by the way, we moved into new office this March. Here’s our community manager, Josh, who will give you a quick office [music] tour. Hey divers, Josh here. Our new office is designed to create even more fun games. As you walk pass by our Identity Mint Rocket, [music] you’ll find a spacious and clean Mint Hall. During the lunch breaks, we [music] gather here to play games. Grab a coffee and recharge with a quick stretch. If you’re up for it, you can work out in the gym or just [music] take a well-deserved break in the break room. And this is where our sound design happens. Immersive experiences [music] in our games start with these kinds of details. Upstairs, you’ll find our main office space. Here, we bring [music] countless top secret projects to life. We’ve also got a small tree [music] here along with cute and amazing official merch. Not bad, right? In this new space, the new Mroet is working on several very exciting new project in addition to the In the Jungle DLC [music] for Dave the Diver. I can’t reveal much on these yet, but we’ll share news with you as soon as they are ready. For today, let’s talk about in the jungle DLC. We reveal some footage through the Xbox partner preview [music] and I’d like to show and introduce a bit more about it. First, we are preparing this DLC with quite a substantial amount of [music] content, which is around 10 hour of gameplay. Also, unlike many DLCs that mostly [music] follow the main game system, the Indo Jungle DLC will be offering very different system and game play. We’ve been expanding the main game experience through various update and crossover, and we have plans for more. [music] So, with this large story expansion DLC, we hope to give you the experience of David and friends living in a new life and [music] new place. Okay, then let’s take a sneak peek at the in the jungle DLC. In a jungle village called Utara, [music] Dave spends his day freely just like this. The time flows in a real time here and you [music] can spend your day fulfilling villages request or gathering fruits and minerals. Next is a restaurant that Bancho runs in a jungle village. Unlike Bancho Sushi, which you can only move horizontally, [music] you can now serve customers in multiple directions. As your relationship with villagers grow stronger, [music] they will begin visiting the restaurant as customers. Oh, and since the lake has freshwater fish and as these cannot be [music] eaten raw, uh this time it’s not bancho sushi, but it’s bancho grill. And this is a lake. As you may have seen in the trailer, there [music] are crocodile, giant catfish, and electric eels. Oh, and of course, there are pyanas, too. [music] It’s a jungle lake after all. In this DLC, you’ll be able to utilize new weapon called the jungle [music] gun. This weapon can freely transform into netgun, shotgun, snipers, or simply regular guns. So you can change it form that suit the situation best [music] enabling much more diverse gameplay. We also developing interesting boss [music] battle. So be ready for it. Additionally, you’ll be able to walk around the forest with Dave and his [music] friends and experience wide variety of jungle activities, including various mini games like [music] this. Even more content is currently being developed beyond what we’ve shown you now. Plus, you’ll be able to meet characters from other games you love. So, please look forward to it. Okay, enough [music] for me. Let’s hear a bit more about development from our game design lead and [music] art director. Fore! Foreign! Foreign! Fore system. update. Come on. Sorry, I’m back. There’s actually one more thing we like to share. With our release on Switch 2 and Xbox, you can now meet Dave on almost all platforms. But there’s still one of the platform that’s missing. Many users wanted to play Dave the Diver on their mobile devices. So, we now developing a mobile version together with [music] our Chinese partner XD. Without further ado, our business manager Jasper will show you gameplay footage [music] directly. Hi everyone, this is Jasper from the business team. This year has been a very busy one for our team. We joined several gaming events in China and met lots of amazing fans. During those events, we showed an early build of Dave the Diver Mobile and let players try it out and got tons of really helpful feedback. And what I can tell you now is that it’s not just going to be a simple port, but we’re tuning the whole experience so it feels natural on mobile devices. [music] We redesigned UI and controls so everything is easy to use and see on smaller screens. Here’s my favorite part. You can actually tilt your device to pour tea. Our plan is to launch first in China next year, then releases globally soon after. The team is making solid progress and fingers crossed we’ll be able to share more updates with you [music] soon. Okay, as I mentioned earlier, we’ve got plenty in the works and [music] I really wanted to share a glimpse before the year ends.
