Fiancee got me this beaut for Xmas, loads of old music still burnt onto it
She seems to be so loved, time to love her even more now she's in her new home! A complete surprise gift my girl got me, as an Xbox collector I'd propose to her if I hadn't already
One of us has a very crooked neck. I hope it’s not me.

Just that startup for older consoles is instant nostalgia points. Feels good and cool fiancé!

Nice!
Important things to note:
1st, get it softmodded to get the Hard Drive key.
These things are 2 decades old and the hard drives aren’t getting any younger and could fail at any moment.
Replacing a dead Hard Drive is more of a hassle than to replace it with a modern one while it is still funtional. Any modern hard drive or even an SSD will work, but an adapter will be required to convert the SATA connections to the IDE interface the console uses.
2nd, look into getting the capacitors in the console replaced.
Original Xbox was made during the capacitor plague era. Capacitors then were notorious for failing due to flawed chemistry so it is absolutely recommended to get the capacitors replaced with quality ones.

Give it some breathing room so it doesn’t cook itself

Sucks you fell over while taking the photos.

Not Nickelback!
Please visit r/originalxbox and run [XCAT](https://consolemods.org/wiki/Xbox:XCAT) on that Xbox to search for lost DLC files.
Make sure the vents on the sides have space so the console doesn’t overheat
