While trying to remove a stripped screw from the backplate to fix a nonworking button, the top screen got this mark on it. is there any way at all to fix this without taking apart and replacing the entire top of the 3ds? Or am I out of luck there? I looked at a video tutorial for screen replacement and it looked way more complicated than anything I can handle, and I don't think there's any repair shops out here in New Mexico that can do old consoles.

    1. Those appear to be dead pixels and they might spread. But you dont need to panic just yet, as these could be “Stuck Pixels” which can disappear if you just let the console sit turned off long enough in a different area (such as somewhere less hot or humid) But if these are dead pixels. You only have a few options. If you are comfortable enough with electronics you could try replace the screen yourself, or maybe send it to a repair shop?
