I made a post like this before on the n64 community subreddit but I feel this question should be repeated to other communities and it would just be fun to discuss. Also I’m a huge fan of Rareware (or simply Rare) we all know that Dinosaur Planet was eventually turned into Star Fox Adventures and that Miyamoto commented on how Sabre resembles Fox which led to Fox replacing him. Considering how Krystal appears in future Star Fox games and cameo in Smash Bros. It makes me wonder if Sabre is owned by Nintendo or Microsoft after buying Rare? If Nintendo owns him then why don’t they do something with him like with Krystal and Tricky . I love to see him in a future Star Fox game! (Y’know IF the series was still being utilized!)

Don’t know how unused assets go, but given they own SFA, I’d imagine Nintendo owns everything that goes with it. Or least I hope that’s the case since there’s some ideas from it I’d love to see in a new game(mostly Randorn)
If Rare made the concept of him, then probably Microsoft. Like how Mallow and Geno were conceptualised by Square Enix so they own them
Man, what if link was a loyal dog
Sabre for Smash
Imo, no one cause that character doesn’t exist. It’s a concept character that didn’t made it to an actual product. Legit I think Rare could use that character and Nintendo probably wouldn’t even put 2 and 2 together lol
