I got this series x (completely new) a while ago and checked the serial number and everything seemed right. I still have like a year of warranty and don’t see anything on it being refurbished. It works like new everything is perfect.

I was just wandering about this different color around the buttons since there is no other look of used. Not even one scratch and everything was sealed.

Maybe it is factory wear or just the material looking that way.

Still i got a wrap for it so i don’t even see that now. Just curious abut it.

To me that seems relatively normal, those are the two buttons you are likely to press most (apart from the disc slot) on the console and it’s probably just slightly worn down.

Maybe you have something on your hands/fingers that’s causing it to go slightly lighter than usual, but either way it’s nothing to worry about I’d say, so long as the console still functions a bit of cosmetic wear never hurt.

It’s interesting that it’s perfectly circular, not something you’d generally expect from wear and tear. And on the power button the defect in the color hits the edge and basically completely stops at an unnatural angle.

If I had a guess I’d say this is a defect from the factory. It looks like whatever tool they use to punch out the openings for those buttons probably applies heat to soften the plastic in those areas and this particular one sat under or in contact with the heated tool too long and it led to the discoloration.

It’s simply too perfectly round to be a wear and tear thing.

    3. Definitely not a brand new console. How much did you pay for it? Looks like a well done refurbish unless you had greasy fingers when you first powered it on. As long as it plays games it should be good. Its not really noticeable unless you point it out
