so i got the old 3ds xl almost a month ago, a few days ago i took it apart to get something from under the screen because it was bugging out due to dust or something under it and i got it out and i put the whole thing back together. but i misplaced the ribbons so the touch screen wouldn’t work but it turned on fine, and then i took it apart again and put it back together. but now it will not turn on and when i try to it does a forced shut off with a pop.
do i just take it to my nearest game shop to have it repaired?

You likely have a ribbon cable installed upside down if you don’t have any awareness of broken ribbon clips / cables. I’d recommend sending it to a local repair shop and they can at the very least verify if something is actually broken.
