Who and why the hell is anyone upvoting this.

Hasbro is a mega-corp like Nestle or Koch or GM that buys up everything it can.

      I miss Reggie.

Didn’t expect him to wind up there. Unfortunately Hasbro is kind of a scummy business, and I say that as a longtime Transformers fan. They hire passionate people at least.

    3. Joins Hasbro and convince them to release Baldur’s gate 3 on Switch 2. What a move by Bowser

This is giving me the impression that we only had Bowser at Nintendo to have someone run the NoA branch before Pritchard was ready and just went with Bowser because funny name coincidence, honestly.

Edit: my bad, that was a just the impression I somehow got, is all

I’ve worked with Nintendo of Europe in the past and if Nintendo of America is anything like it, they have very little say. Every decision goes through Kyoto, and I had calls with them (with translators present) for very minor stuff.

    6. Well, I probably would have rather have had Reggie join Hasbro.

But, he’s used to people rather having had Reggie in his job.

We going to hear about this guy for the rest of time because he headed up Nintendo’s American branch for five minutes aren’t we… Never got the fascination the games media have with these types. Especially this position in particular. He did what Nintendo told him to do. Not saying he was good or bad at executing that role. It’s just not something that really matters or is interesting to us as fans/consumers. I’m as interested to know about this guy as much as I am NoA’s head of HR.

    8. Having “President of Nintendo of America” on your portfolio must be pretty nice in a kids toy business

    9. This is really common for former CEO’s as a retirement job. They attend some meetings and work maybe 300 hours a year and get paid hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Basically like 7 weeks a year of work for 300K or something. Not surprised to see it happen.

Hasbro is pretty gross based on what I have seen them do to Wizards of the Coast. Magic might be thriving financially… but they are going to kill the golden goose.
