I can’t remember a Nintendo console getting this much 3rd party support from the beginning. Maybe Super NES? There are some high quality ports that are coming over so the future looks bright.
The 4.4 million units is in addition to the OG Switch that people bought in 2025. Pretty impressive.

This is great for the Switch 2 but that stat is misleading at best and wrong at worst. PS5 sold nearly 8 million units by March 31, 2021 and released Nov 19, 2020. So it sold shy of twice as many units in a month and a half less time.
But sure staying within the confines of the calendar year I guess it’s true. Anyways, congrats Switch 2.
