My dad let me have one of his old chargers but unfortunately he gave it to me with this tear when all the bronze parts are pushed together it works and I had it working for awhile with some electrical tape but my cat quickly ruined that idea so I was hoping that I could use a suadering gun and just sauder that area. Would this damage it more? And would this be a hard fix for someone who's never actually saudered before?

    1. For the love of Christ please just get a new cord instead of “saudering” this thing back together

it can be repaired, but if you even slightly doubt your ability to do so, i would just buy a new charger even if money’s tight. would you rather replace a charger or a whole 3ds?

You don’t solder wires. But what you could try to do, but I don’t recommend, because it’ll probably kill your system, is cut and strip the wires to try to reconnect them and reinsulate. But it is not worth the potential damage.
