Apologies in advance for formatting, I’m not a massive poster and I’m doing this on mobile so let me know if there’s issues.
Like the title says, I finally own my Dream 3ds.
I originally picked it up on eBay from a seller in Japan for around $300aud, (which is probably too much) but prices here in Australia are stupid. (We’re talking $450/500 minimum usually)
So I bit the bullet and decided to commit to this one.
It was a bit rough and the camera had issues, but I planned to resell it anyway, and am I so glad I did.
This post is a bit of a showcase cause I’m really proud of it. I haven’t reshelled anything before, and I know these are notoriously difficult, I can now attest to that for sure!
One 17 minute YouTube tutorial and like 5 hours work later.
But it’s also a bit of a question.
The camera issue seemed to just be a loose connection. When I did the resell, the connector for the camera was broken, as if it had been opened before and the latch had snapped in half.
When I secured it in the new shell, it works fine even though it’s broken.
So my question is, in the old black case photos, can you tell if this was a re-shell already? Or any reasons it may have been opened that I can’t see?
