I have seen people recommend 2.5 inch hard drives cases which do work, but personally I like to use Official cases, and yes other cases work like ones for 3ds xl, but they dont fit snug and the 3ds can move around, this cases fits pretty tight with games and stylus, but it works.

Wait I have this one too! I’ve started using it for my gba games instead because I don’t use the original smaller model much anymore.
When the OG one first came out this was my carry case for years lol.
I found 2 good ones. Hori for new 3ds and anser. But I have only seen 2 of the anser ever and it’s probably the best case I’ve ever purchased for th new 3ds
