Despite selecting the “opt out of all email marketing communications”, Steam will reselect all of the “send me an email when” options after a week or so.

I’ve had this issue for months now. I’ve even contacted Steam Support, who basically told me they have no control over how notifications are sent out and just linked me back to the email preferences section.
It’s maddening. I’ve opted out of this dozens of times. I refresh the page, and it says I’ve opted out, but then a couple weeks later I’ll get yet another email about a game on my wishlist being on sale. I check again, and I’m opted back into recieve emails.
I can block Steam, sure, but I do still want to get notified about some things. Just not everything. It’s incredibly spammy.
Anybody else having this issue?

It’s almost as if they make a fortune off this little “bug”, huh.

Your only 2 options are to direct them all to your junk folder or just deal with it
