I’m really keen to tackle one of these projects; what would you recommend?

    1. Easily BG3 or Cyberpunk 2077.

Both genuinely 10/10 games. I have 91 hours for a full BG3 playthrough and 268 hours in Cyberpunk 2077 for a platinum + DLC but that was 3 full playthroughs.

Depends what you want. If you want a slower turn based RPG with team combat go for BG3.

If you want fast paced FPS action combat with a genuinely gripping story and phenomenal performances go for Cyberpunk.

Bg3 and cyberpunk are very different animals but I got around 300 out of cyberpunk I’m nearing 1000 on bg3

    3. Haven’t played the others, but I’ve played through cyberpunk 2077 twice now (along with the phantom liberty dlc) it is epic!! CDPR truly redeemed themselves with this one!

    4. The question is, do you want to try all of them at some point or just one or two and be good at that. Because BG3 and CP 2077 will definitely spoil you and you couldn’t just play Veilguard or Oblivion after them. (Nothing against fans of Oblivion or Veilguard)

CP2077 if you like FPS more.

BG3 if you like turn-based combat where your actions define the outcomes.

Oblivion if you like Bethesda games (very polarising)

Dragon Age: Veilguard – just skip it altogether – pure rubbish really.

    6. Oblivion is a few years old, its really last gen, but its a good game and one I’ll definitely pick up again.

Cyberpunk is good fun, only gripe was the car handling but some good options for play style.

BG – I want to try this struggling to get into BG2 tbh so might skip it.

Veilguard – not as bad as I thought it would be but its not a great game, go in expecting little and you might enjoy it but it could have been so much more.

Cyberpunk 2077 in current state is imo the best game ever made – followed by RDR2 and Skyrim.

So I’d get cyberpunk but baldurs gate 3 and oblivion need to follow one day !

Cyberpunk is such a densely packed and unique experience. The side quests all feel so alive and part of the city. The gameplay is so much fun and the story is amazing.

If you haven’t played it I can’t recommend it enough

I didn‘t like cyberpunk when it was released. Once the DLC came out I spent 190 hours in basically days. Loved it so much suddenly. I recommend playing it in the dark with good headphones btw.

    10. BG3 is the game of the generation for me. CP2077 is great too. Veilguard is good but you should really only play it if you’ve already played DA Inquisition.

Never played Oblivion, tried but couldn’t get into it.

    11. Balders Gate: I’d argue this has the most replayability on console. Amazing characters and development, top tier story, great gameplay. Will keep you busy for months, especially if your a fan of DnD.

Cyberpunk: Great ‘rags to riches’ game, as in, it’s in a great state compared to initial reviews and opinions. Pretty good story, solid replayability. Pretty good characters and development. Perfect for scratching that RPG, make your character broken build, kind of game.

Oblivion: I’d start with this one, mainly because it’s older, and the mechanics are a bit clunky compared to modern gaming. That said, this is still a 10/10 gem and with every one of the hundreds of hours you’ll likely put into it.

Dragon Age: as others have said, you could skip this and be fine. I think the story is pretty good, and characters are… likeable. It’s main issue is that it’s out of it’s league compared to the other 3. Play mass effect or Skyrim instead.
