I see a good bit of hate towards the N2dsxl. I just want to throw a little love in it's direction. Yes, it's light but that's what I love most about it. It's the perfect size, weight, and shape for me. I've had my purple 2dsxl since I bought it new in 2018 from Target and I carry it everywhere. It's still in great condition despite the (almost) daily use but I do try to take good care of it.

It’s not underrated tho, the price for the N2DSXL right now is literally the same or more than N3DSXL at launch. People want it.
It’s so nice and sleek. Definitely not having the 3D features is a plus for hobbyists
I have one as my only system and the only thing I really dislike is the floppyness of the top screen. It has a lot more screen wobble than other models so playing it lying down gets annoying and the fact it’s a very bottom heavy device makes playing ds games that use the console on its side very annoying

The 2DS is the only handheld I don’t have in my collection now. I’m really tempted to pick up a Metal Slime edition if I see a nice condition one at a sensible price.
