This is similar to the one I have now. I've bought 3 different ones over the years. As time goes on they either dont charge 100% or they lose the charge after a couple hours of gameplay.
Anyone have recommendations for rechargeable battery? Or are they all like this? Thanks

I’ve had Eneloops for years and very happy with them.
Get rechargeable AA batteries (like eneloop / IKEA Ladda) and a good charger.

Eneloop AAs. Even Energizer, Ikea’s and Amazon’s NiMH rechargeables are also pretty good. But I can say the Eneloops last for years; I have some that are over 7 years old and they don’t hold a charge as well but are plenty usable. They also work in most things that use AAs.
There’s tons of no name battery packs like these and most are probably okay, but some will give you problems within a couple of years. Hard to tell since there’s less or zero quality control with those brands.
These batteries lasted me for years. It’s better and cheaper than buying AA batteries every three days. All you have to do is charge them for one hour and they would stay charged up to 6 hours
Have had these for a while. The exact set. Get them. You wont regret it.

I just order a set of these, to replace a ser of 2600ma I had for years. That fact you can take them apart and use them like regular AA in other stuff seems interesting.
EBL batteries are good too. I have both, Eneloop and EBL. They generally last around 5yrs before the voltage becomes high and they can no longer take a charge.

Just buy rechargeable AA batteries.
Rechargeable AAs are a much better idea – plentiful, tons of good and cheap chargers, and useful in a lot of gadgets and things beyond your controllers.
I’ve had the same play n charge battery since the Xbox one and it still works well.

I’ve had it since 2020 get great battery life. It comes with two batteries. I just drop it on the stand when I’m done with my session.

I got some that you can recharge through the USBc port without having to remove them anymore
Regular rechargeable double aa’s, eneloop or power owl.

I’ve used Energizer. Easy to replace and easier to charge. You can get them with a charger and without. More of your devices can use them too
The answer is always Eneloops or similar Panasonic/fujitsu etc

Do not listen to anybody else. This is the gold standard. You get 2 so you can swap them out when one dies. It comes with the cable and everything. I’m not affiliated with this product, but I do own many of them.
I have those same type of rechargeable packs. Used them for several years and they work great.
