Publishers set prices (not Steam) on games, bundles, packages, collections, etc.
Sometimes they set the prices of games on discount and not the bundle.
Sometimes they discount a bundle not the games.
Sometimes it’s some weird mix of that.
This is why Steam, the GOAT, has that little section to show you the difference so you can make an educated decision.
It should take most people 2 seconds to go “Oh shit, it’d be cheaper if I bought them individually instead of buying this package”
Unfortunately some people aren’t good at math so they come to some place like reddit and are like “What”
