I thought I might show off my 3DS and Power Bank doohickey!!
Some backstory:
A while back, my 3DS charging port broke, I kept thinking it was my cables, so I kept replacing them until it ultimately stopped charging. I came up with this doohickey/monstrosity by using a spare 3DS cable and soldering it to the broken battery bank (all of the USB ports were broken but the battery was fine so I soldered the cable directly onto the board where the USB ports were) and soldering the other side of the cable to the 3DS's docking pins. I've gotten about 50 hours out of it, I'll have to do some more testing but thats what I've gotten so far. Although clunky, I'd say it was definitely worth it as my other way of charging it would have been to take the battery out of it everytime it got low. And yes I know its a sloppy job, im not a professional by any means, theres duck tape and hot glue so the cable doesn't accidentally get ripped off again.

That’s utterly insane. But cool. Here’s to many more hours!
Genuine question, since you know how to solder: why not fix/replace the charging port or add a USB-c charging port? It’s not very hard if you know what you’re doing, and would be a lot less bulky lol.

LMAO thats awesome but you couldve done it much cheaper by replacing it with a usb-c port haha
