Why do I have to pay so much more for being on console?
I get that you need to lure in PC players but this is ridiculous, the Gold Edition on PC, with all three DLCs included, is way cheaper than the base game on Xbox
You can always buy it from a other game stores, oooohhh wait you can’t….that’s why.

Because you can buy PC games in multiple stores and for different platforms, consoles are a closed ecosystem so the games will be more expensive, that is the price you pay for having a MUCH less expensive machine that outperforms a PC at the same price

Isn’t this game Xbox play anywhere? So if you buy the PC version from the Xbox store you can download it on your console.

Price to buy a console itself is in general lower, but you end up with more expensive games and needed subscriptions. Been that way for 20 years or so now.

PC platform has great competition in Steam, GoG, Epic, [Battle.net](http://Battle.net)
They would sell zero copies if they didn’t offer comparable prices to them.

I compared Steam Winter sale everyone is so glazing over to Xbox and PlayStation winter sales and prices for the multiplatform games released in the last three years or so were identical. Plenty of extremely cheap classic games though.

It’s the tax you pay for having a cheap system, but also think of the extra development time into testing and optimising for your system that PC doesn’t really get.
