I’ve been waiting for this since it was announced. It’s a bit of a shame it come out close to Mewgenics, which is likely where I’ll be spending my time. But I will end up buying it on switch

To anyone who’s a fan of the Mystery Dungeon series but wished that it was open world, I highly recommend this game. Surprisingly, while there are a lot of open world games in this genre on PC, I haven’t been able to find a single one on Switch. Most of them are linear dungeon crawlers like the original Rogue (Mystery Dungeon is basically Rogue reskinned as whatever series they’re crossing over with that day, e.g. Pokemon), so this is a pretty unique experience to consoles.
Anyway, I just started a playthrough where I cybernetically enhanced my character with giant hands that can wield two-handed weapons in one hand and a pair of back-mounted gun slots so I can wield four laser chainguns at once, and then modified those chainguns so they fire a spread of nine lasers per shot that each have a chance of dismembering enemies, so… That’s fun. Still working on the part of my build where I cut off my own face and wear it on the back of my head.

Wonder if there’s going to be a Switch 2 edition – there are just so many games that look a bit blurry from the imperfect resolution upscaling…. Hopefully the text and everything else looks good. I’ve been excited for this one.
