    1. This is why exclusivity needs to die.

Unless your game utilizes unique features that only your console has (like JoyCon motion controls) and they *cannot* be translated to traditional controller buttons, games should release on every platform that can run the game at an acceptable stability level.

    2. PC was always the break glass Incase of emergency button for at home consoles

PC market got huge and console sales started to dwindle. Writing was on the wall that there was going to be a push there

I don’t give a single fuck about exclusives 😭. I’ve never understood wanting something just because someone else can’t have it

Where are these Sony games on Xbox they speak of?

Now imagine is there first party release were 6-12 months after release were on all formats, that number would be crazy! Shareholders and investors are likely to push for more.

    6. 4 Billion in 3 years is horrid, they made like 30+ billion last year just from their gaming segment, this isn’t news worthy at all

    7. Makes sense to put thier games in more places. They want to make money not to just keep thier player base happy. Awesome to hear and more games will just continue coming to PC with them making more money. Congrats PS on knowing that you have to put elsewhere to make more money.

    8. Really wish Wolverine was coming to Xbox. As a marvel fan it really sucks how many big marvel titles are Sony exclusive

Imagine what Microsoft is gonna make on their first party games this year going to PS and PC 😂

That is about an extra $1.1 billion(this number was revised down it is $600 million per year on about $2.4 billion total) in revenue per year for a division in a company that made almost $32 billion in 2024. That is ~~3.x%~~(1.5%) of their yearly income. In other words ~~97%~~(98.5%) of their revenue comes from Playstation users.

If anything it provides more estimate as to why they should be keeping things at least semi-exclusive(timed exclusive/3rd party deals etc) for them.

I imagine the numbers are drastically different for Xbox particularly due to COD and Candy Crush income.

edit:revised down due to new headline/calculation

Are the only Sony games on Xbox The Show and Helldivers? I’m assuming this is mostly PC driven?

A lot of people in hear not realizing that one, the number is wrong and two this isn’t from MLB and Helldivers, this is mostly from Destiny 2.

Doesn’t seem to make sense to keep games exslusive if Sony and Microsoft offset costs of consoles by profits from games
