What do you think: Will the next Gran Turismo have an open world?

    1. I’d rather it have racing modifications (or whatever they were called) again, but you guys do you.

    2. Forza Horizons entire model is an open world, and Mario Kart Word is a spinoff of the franchise.

I would highly doubt that GT randomly does an open world simply because of Mario Kart and Forza.

    3. Hopefully not. I prefer closed circuits. Horizon is fun for a bit but gets boring really fast. Racing circuits doesn’t get old you just perfect your craft. Driving supercars and HyperCars across fields is weird and just feels wrong.

It feels like sacrilege but I’m enjoying forza horizon 5 right now more than gt7

I hope so. I just want…to drive. It would be nice to just drive around without being constrained to a conventional race. Just let me fucking drive.

    6. Nah, Its all about track based racing based on realism. Ofcourse they could do spinoff but thats also very unlikely imo

Unfortunately AI is so stupidly programmed that it makes game almost completely pointless for offline racing … im not sure do people realize AI speed is always based on how you drive no matter the difficulty.. when u get close to 1st , they begin to be faster. Its so damn stupid

Would be nice if you could walk around the tracks, maybe even work as one of the pit crew.

    8. I would like it but only if it could capture the feeling of Gran Turismo.

Like it would need a level of realism, no just blasting through fields and jumping off cliffs and stuff. And I think a lot of people would hate that. But I think that would be required for GT to feel like GT.

For an open world GT, I’d personally want it to cruise around. Not necessarily to engage in shenanigans if that makes sense. Forza Horizon exists for that purpose.

    9. I see no need for it. Forza Horizon is cool, but I do like the straightforward nature of GT. They scratch different itches. One is more arcadey than simmy. Both fun for different reasons.
