I originally purchased an actual New 3DS XL carry case a few weeks ago, but it's really tight for the 3DS and lots of pressure on the corners and shoulder buttons. I decided to ditch that and look for something slightly bigger.
I bought this hardshell carry case for my New 3DS XL. It's actually a carry case for a 3.5" hard drive, but the N3DS XL fits in there really nice and there is just enough space left to handle a clear hard shell or TPU case on the 3DS as well.
Only downside is that there are no game cartridge slots for keeping a few games in there, apart from the net section, but there is no padding to keep the carts from rubbing against the 3DS. Can't really complain for £4.99 though!
Just posting this in case there is anyone else looking for a sturdy carry case for their New 3DS XL and having trouble finding one that actually fits well.
