The dimensions are 120×50,and was thinking of something like this and FYI the ps4 is dead so dw about that I just want it up for display, I want the ps5 to be horizontal for sure. The future monitor is an AOC 24G4XE,I'll also add a m&k in the future. I can remove the PS4 if there's more room needed and ignore the random stuff on the right,I'm going to organize them one day

    1. I would have a tv or monitor to go with the PS5, but hey, you’re the one who knows what you need

    2. Get a stand and put it up. Throw a monitor next to it and it’ll look nice. Horizontally you lose a lot of room unless you get another section.

    3. I’m usually an advocate for leaving it horizontal, but I your case vertical makes sense

You could also look into getting a monitor riser

Horizontal in the Middle , with the Monitor ABOVE IT , ( off course you need to find a stand to not apply the monitor weight on the PS5 )

    5. If you plan on keeping the PS5 horizontal, I would suggest getting one of those monitor risers and place your console underneath it so that its placed in the middle. Looks a bit odd placing it on the far right imo

    6. Do you intend on sitting at that desk in an office chair while gaming, or are you going to be further back on like a recliner/sofa/mattress?

Assuming the monitor you chose supports it, I’d pull the desk out a bit and do a vesa arm for the monitor along the back, then rotate the PS5 90 degrees to maximize your surface space.

    8. I prefer to have my table space clear unless I have my laptop in front to look at stuff. Find a mount to put your PS4/5 under the table so it’s just monitor/TV and controller on the table.

Not a lot of space so I’d look at mounting the ps5, as well as the monitor. Not having anything physical on your desk will regain a lot of space.

So you got a ps5 but don’t have a monitor or tv and then you sat a dead ps4 next to it for athletics? Am I missing something?

      Padded room vibes here.

    11. Whenever you get a monitor or tv, I think a shelf above it for the PS5 would be nice. Give you the desk space back. Even one of those wall mounts for the PS4 would be nice if you had to have it there.

Put it vertically, I’ve had mine since launch and it’s absolutely fine.

Looks a lot sleeker that way.

Is my mind twisted? Am I the only one who sees the PS4 absolutely giving it to the PS5 doggystyle?

    14. You won’t ever have a problem with it vertical. Looks very bad like this and occupies unnecessary extra space. For it to be vertical safely, you need to buy the official stand.

Leave 10cm space on ALL sides. Don’t slam it into a PS4, there’s ventilation at the bottom (why you need the vertical stand for the vertical orientation).

The monitor you’re looking at is pretty shit. Get at least an AOC G3XMN, although a 4k one would be even more beneficial to the PS5 as it always outputs 4k anyway and 1440p and especially 1080p are suboptimal for zero gain/reason. But 4k monitors are more expensive and you sound like you’re on a budget. That 1440p AOC I recommended is the absolute minimum if you want anything close to a decent picture.

On the accessories side, all I feel like the only must is the wireless charging stand. Charging controllers via cable infuriates the hell out of me. The DualSense lasts very little time and you’ll have to fiddle with a cable after almost each session.

    15. Had my PS5 since day 1 & never had it laying down, don’t worry about the Reddit scare stories. Stand that boy up and get a monitor and you’re golden.

Less clutter on the table> a bunch of devices and wires all over the place. I’m all for minimalistic set ups. Clutter free space = a clutter free mind! (Not to a 100% obv, but it helps for sure seeing a clean space)

Get rid of the PS4, get a vertical cooling stand with charging for the PS5. If you can get an arm for the monitor or mount something to the wall, go that route. If you use a laptop, set it up to where you can easily use two monitors and switch between inputs.
