I don't remember when it started because I didn't notice at the moment, but my 3ds broke this part from it's right hinge, and it's fault is making it crack like this. For now I'm just trying to not close it and when I do I hold this part with my finger.
I don't really want to entirely replace it's bottom part (the console is really damaged overall, idk if it's really worth it) so I was thinking about just use something to hold it, like I do with my finger (maybe some tape), or just place something to make it impossible to close, but I don't really know what to use.

this exact thing happened to my siblings old pokemon x and y le and i still get sad thinking about it 🙁 even with careful use after the crack formed it eventually spread and the top screen on that side separated from the bottom half, as well as the shoulder button coming off. then it just didnt turn on anymore lol couldve been saved by replacing the shell and the ribbon cable I think, but we were both kids at the time
super glue if you’re dumb, something else if you’re smart. me personally I’d just replace it and do a system transfer but you could maybe get by with epoxy or something idk I’m far from a plastic professional
