JP 3DSXL flashing light then making a popping sound before shutting down
My 3DS XL came in the mail today and it was low battery then died, the charger isn't working which is why it's a red light. Is this a hardware issue or do I need to charge it? If it's a hardware issue, how do I fix it?
You need to find a way to charge it, you should probably post a picture of your charging port so we can help you identify the problem.

Just a flat battery, it needs to be recharged. All DS models try to power up even if the battery isn’t charged enough, there’s not enough power left to turn on the screens so it switches right back off

blinking may or may not be because the battery is dead. also check the ribbon cables that lead to the top portion

Popping usually is indicative of a hardware issue, if I’m not mistaken, I’m not sure what exactly could be causing it though… I just hope someone else comments that has a bit more braincells than I do lol-

Battery is definitely low, could potentially have a hardware issue too the popping sound can be a symptom of something faulty inside. I’d charge it before doing anything else.
