Not asking in a bad way, I actually haven’t played the game yet but am just intrigued and potentially looking to play it next.
Stellar Blade has 9.2 User Score on Metacritic, that’s the 17th highest ever on there (2nd highest for PS5 games, after E33). In contrast, on Backloggd the user rating is 3.9/5 which is quite average (E33 is 4.6 for comparison).
Is there a reason why the Metacritic user score for SB is so high compared to other games?

Beautiful Eve
I don’t play a bunch of different games, and I am actually more of a retro gamer. What I can say is that Stellar Blade deserves such a high score because it’s a fantastic game. It is easy to tell that the dev team put their hearts and souls into its development and that makes a massive difference.
Many of the reviews cite the gameplay and the music as being their highlight
Multiple reasons:
-Sensual main character
-Good gameplay and OST
-Well optimized on PC
-Mod support on PC (NSFW/”Goon” included)
I would say its because the game is actually, surprisingly good, and not just a “anime porn game”.

the goon aspect aside.,it’s a really well made and fun game. shift up did excellent job across the board

Because it’s a good game
Many people went into the game thinking it would be pure fan service (which they appreciate), but found it was a genuinely good game.
Only game with RDR2 i have played 7+ times and will play again, ofc beatiful girls are bonus but gameplay in Stellar Blade is just awesome, character movement, combat, everything works so smooth all the time
