Ngl I’m kind of worried about this one. Apparently it’s supposed to be a PvP multiplayer game? I thought we were getting our own Bloodborne but I guess not.
I’m assuming it’s going to be 30 FPS since From Software is allergic to good optimization but that sounds awful for a team based multiplayer PvP game. I have low expectations for this.

Nightreign has been hemorrhaging players for months
not especially hopefully for Duskbloods, which is releasing to an even smaller audience

Almost as if we still have 9+ months left in 2026

Seems like a late release. Probably not enough to show do a Partner Direct.
Or rather, way too important to show at a Partner Direct.

All I can say is that I hope they develop the game with the Switch2’s strengths and limitations in mind. I don’t need individual strands of monster hair rendered with their own unique physics if it’s going to tank the frame rate.

It amazes me how everyone assumes the worst if it doesnt meet this abritrary amount of marketing the game should have in their minds

I know that people have already made up their minds that this is just going to be 1:1 Tarkov but with janky From Soft PvP combat, but I’m really optimistic about this game. I think that people forget just how novel Demons Souls’ multiplayer was for its time, despite the label on the game being “it has 2-player coop and 1v1 PvP,” the actual way those mechanics were implemented was NOTHING like it’s contemporaries. Messages, random players invasions during the middle of your play, world tendency as a shared world mechanic.
The last time that Miyazaki actually experimented with multiplayer elements was DkS1, even though the actual execution of stuff like Gravelording and Miracle Resonance didn’t go as planned. Every game since then has basically just carried forward and reduced the importance of the elements from the prior games. It’s been 15 years for this man to cook new multiplayer ideas. I trust that he actually has something we’ve never seen before here

It’s technically a first party game given that it’s Nintendo published. Unclear who will own IP. That’s probably why it wasn’t in the partner showcase.

Wow slow news day I guess

People should be freaking out at Bethesda because of the Elder Scrolls VI teaser since E3 2018 instead of The Duskbloods.

No one cares until it comes out… Should have just been shadow dropped. What was the release date, November something? What a let down.

fromsoft is usually “awol” after announcing games, it’s just how they do it

Why would they only put this out on Switch makes Zero sense!

I’ll be honest, I kinda lost interest on it once I learned it was a online multiplayer PvPvE game.
