This is how people who doesn’t follow something get’s to know it bro.
A good amount of sells come from people who probably doesn’t follow a franvhise at all and maybe notice about a new game from indirect publicity like this, a rt on twitter, a trailer from suggestions on youtube , etc.
If you expect people to follow a product without knowing to get the news about it, then you don’t know how marketing works hahaha

While I 100 agree for cases like this, from what I’ve heard it’s really helpful for Indies since you get a baked in audience of everyone who bought your previous games
