I’ve finally upgraded my system from an old XB1 to a Series X Disc and while I’m already dumping money down the drain figured I minus well get the controller I’ve wanted made in the spec I want.
I’m not big into the whole custom controller upgrade scene..
Currently thinking about the following all specked the way I want them (for the most part):
– Hypr Recon Designer
(Doesn’t offer white sticks, only clear.. does look white in the images?) I’ve heard mixed reviews regarding this brand due to quality and customer service. Some say they’re perfect, others say longevity issues (I hold my controller lightly, I’ve used the same wired one since 2015 and have had no issues).
– Modded Zone Custom (MZ for future reference, seems to have exactly what I’m looking for). Not a lot of reviews out there regarding it, looking for input from owners and the general community.
– Scuff Valor Pro Wireless (doesn’t offer white thumbs, more of a grey color). I’ve heard a lot of negative things about the brand, however many owners say they genuinely enjoy the controller. (Is this a Weezer thing?)
If I was to get the interchangeable thumbs would that be a universal swap between other thumbs or would I be stuck with that brand? I’m aware that replacement kits exist, however I want to upgrade the thumbs to HE/TMR since I mainly play racing games then spec the look afterwards.
MZ offers both a weighed and HE/TMR options that’s heavily favoring at the current moment along with the different length options.

Do note I’m particular about the overall shape/design of the controller and want it to look as close to a factory controller as possible just with the black and white scheme.
Any advice for wireless controllers is welcome.
Any input for the brands listed is more than welcomed.
I am in no rush to buy a controller as I’m a weekend warrior and was the last of my friend group to upgrade by two-ish years. Many jokes about my loading times and running low settings have already been made. 😂
