I know that hinge breaks are a fairly common problem for the 3ds xl, but usually it’s in the outer part of the hinge instead of the inner. It seems to me that the issue comes from that part of the casing separating which has led to several cracks. This is a refurbished item, so I don’t know its full history but the R button bulges more than it should and has since I got it a year ago.
I haven’t noticed this issue before today and I haven’t dropped it remotely recently so I’m not sure how it could have gotten this bad overnight (I played it a lot yesterday and didn’t notice at all). I’m not sure if I should use glue on it because I can’t get a case or replace the shell at the moment, but I don’t want the glue to damage it further. Any advice at all would be greatly appreciated.
