So I abandoned my 3ds a while back because my charger got rusty and honestly I had lost interest in it. Now I’ve been thinking of buying a new charger and when I went over to check the charging port I saw this. Is it still salvageable or should I hold off on the charger for now

It can probably be cleaned up a bit with a toothbrush and IPA, but the charging dock might work better as that uses the side pads instead. What caused it in the first place? Was liquid spilled on it,
