I wasn't expecting extra features, but the lack of multi-language support is a letdown. Is it just for the sake of being "faithful to the original"? Honestly, anyone who really wanted to play this has likely already done so through other means. I’m not a huge Pokémon fan myself, but is there any actual advantage to having this on the Switch?

    1. They support Pokémon Home. Unsure about online trades, but Home support was confirmed.

Some people also don’t want to pirate games, and the original carts are pretty costly.

    2. Convenient legal access and home support. Like people will shout “play showdown or pirate”, but like these ports objectively put them out in front of people and make them want to play en masse more easily. Something pretty important for Pokemon.
