Has any anyone bought these controllers from GameStop on discount?

I saw this controller at GameStop and it was $55 and it was listed as opened on the tag, when I asked about why it was opened, they said that it was bought then returned, but the condition is excellent. And I asked what that meant or if it had stick drift or something or was a refurbished and they said that somebody just bought it and then returned it shortly after and that the excellent condition means that there is nothing wrong with it. I don’t know if I believe that because I have no idea why somebody would buy a controller and then just change their mind unless there was a stick drift or something. Has anyone bought any of these? “ excellent.” Controllers. Does it seem legit? He said that if I buy it that there is a 14 day return if there is something wrong with it. I was just a little bit suspicious, but I am tempted, not going to lie if there is really no defects
