Lol, and I got so much crap the other day for criticizing the charge for this update. A lot of Nintendo fans really need to stop the blind worship for new releases.

there is a good example of this where objects drawn from afar look like 2023 AI upscaling. instead of “clarifying” the details it becomes a soup of weird and clashing textures akin to older AI
If they’re gonna charge for updates, they 100% need to be ready to ship. Them doing refunds is so rare and I’m glad they realize they really messed this one up. Hopefully it gets fixed quickly cause I have no idea how this passed any quality testing.

Handheld mode does look awful but fwiw I think it looks fine docked. 60fps was worth it for me

Maybe companies need to stop trying to slam Switch 2 upgrades out the door as fast as possible, issues be damned.
I know the demand for Switch 2 upgrades is pretty big, but all this is doing is pissing people off.
Fallout 4 had better be on point after the disastrous Skyrim “upgrade”.

And this is why I’ve been saying that they’ve likely need to take some time to make these Switch 2 upgrades which is why they haven’t been rolling out super fast. This one was clearly rushed.
Would genuinely rather they take their time with S2 versions of the main Xenoblade trilogy even if it took another year.

Man, I just don’t see the problems.
I got my gf playing the switch 1 version a few weeks ago. I’ve probably watched her play 60 hours of that version now.
Then the upgrade dropped, we installed it, and it just looks better in every way. Fantastic $5 upgrade. I’m not technical on this stuff, but we both just think it looks way better.
I get people want the BotW treatment, but idk, you get what you get. If you don’t like it, don’t pay the five bucks.

Huh? I thought Nintendo couldn’t do no wrong? This must be our mistake. Shiggy can do no wrong. It’s us who should lower our standards and pay for the full version. In that case to atone, make the fire red and green leaf versions 100 dollars each

They’re not giving everybody refunds for the game. They gave that guy a refund for the game because he called Nintendo Support.
There’s been no announcement from Nintendo about refunds. Just a guy that requested a refund from support, and posted about it on Reddit.
