my ps5 just overheated yesterday and shut off randomly and I decided to deep clean it myself but would this have been the cause of it to overheat or could it be the liquid metal? (I didnt look at the liquid metal) also I've had this ps5 since 2020 December I think and I clean it regularly

Clean the dust, but most likely you’re going to have to change the Liquid Metal eventually.

I’ll also add that this happened to me last year. I bought my ps5 day one of release and dusted it yearly, but it got to a point where changing the Liquid Metal was priority because it kept shutting off still no matter how many times I dusted it.
