Years ago, I completed Ori and the Blind Forest on PC. It was a beautiful and emotional experience. I loved it from start to finish, but it didn’t leave that deep, permanent mark on me.

Will of the Wisps, on the other hand, completely blew me away. It improves on the first game in every possible way. The opening is dramatic and immediately pulls you in. From that moment on, I just wanted to keep going. The gameplay is incredibly fluid and responsive, combat feels satisfying, and the added depth compared to the first game makes exploration and progression even more rewarding.

Another thing that impressed me is how the game avoids repetition. Every area feels unique. You go from the beauty of Luma Pools to the harsh atmosphere of the Windswept Wastes, then into the darkness of Mouldwood Depths, and so many other unforgettable places. It genuinely feels like traveling through distinct corners of a living world. The environments are not just visually different, they have their own identity and mood.

And the music. It elevates everything. There were moments where I just stopped moving to listen and take it all in.

My favorite games of all time are The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask and The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, and interestingly, I felt a strong similarity while playing Ori. The emotional weight, the atmosphere, the sense of a world that feels alive and a little melancholic. That connection made me fall in love with it even more. Did anyone else feel that?

I’ll keep this short, but if you haven’t played this series yet, give it a chance. It’s a masterpiece. I recommend it 1000%.

    1. It’s a genuinely incredible experience. I think I have a few more years before I can go back and replay it, but I can’t wait. It’s an incredible game.
