Disappointed they didn’t bake in the events like Crystal on 3DS. Guess that could theoretically be updated later, but I’m not keeping my hopes up.

Oh wow, like imagine a fucking decade or two from now (Because I don’t imagine it’ll be that soon) where you can just do that move a Pokemon from the OG Pokemon GB Red to the current release of Pokemon legitimately within Nintendo’s ecosystem.

As someone who’s never played a Pokemon game somehow, is there anything that would be good to know before starting? Is this a good starting point in the series (I’m typically a retro gaming fan as it is)?

In the game page on the eshop they mention the sevii islands “not in the original games” so I guess it means we get access to all the legendary Pokemon there?

Is this a good game to get for someone who hasn’t played Pokemon since Blue originally came out? I want to get a Pokemon game but not sure if I should get this or a newer one for Switch

*Note: Enabling L=A through your options will turn your dpad into a menu/select button. If you have issues with movement on dpad, that’s probably why.

Just so people know, there’s been confirmation that the Aurora and Mystic Tickets become available when you beat the Elite Four, so you can get Deoxys and Ho-Oh/Lugia in the post-game.

I’m personally still not buying it, but credit where credit’s due, they put it on modern hardware and made it accessible.

I am actually super excited about this.
I was more into ruby/sapphire in gen 3 so never picked up the gen 1 remakes.
The new mechanics introduced in let’s go didn’t appeal to me so I passed.
I realize I haven’t played the gen 1 Pokemon experience in over 20 years.
Performance is ripping on my Switch 2
With no way to actually complete the dex. What a disappointment
