Is my 3DS ruined?😭

I’ve been playing on my 3DS for a few years now and around a week ago i plugged it in and the screen was black. I can get it to go to the home screen but it stays frozen on that. i checked the battery and it was a little swollen so i got a new one.

i thought i fixed the problem but when i put the new battery in today it still did the same thing 😭

is there anything else i can do to save it? or do i need to get a new one.
