it is possible that they needed to take it down due to nintendo asking them to take it down kindly.. or they are just currently out of stock. but both of those have zelda ip so it would make sense that both at the same time would be taken down due to copyright problems. or many people bought them recently due to 3ds demand. and because zelda is cool. would make sense. or maybe those were legit ones that just simply got all sold out because there was no more of them. there are still shells on ebay but for like 44 £.
After looking up seems like those covers might have been scraps of uneven covers when 3ds was in print. What that means is sometimes during production some items will be not perfect enough to be sold out. So they need to b trash out. Not perfectly centered images on the cover, too small or too big cover etc etc. Seems liek this was it because most of the covers withzelda on aliexpress had uneven image on the cover. Not perfectly centered. Found other posts and it seems liek for some people those covers didn’t even fit properly on console or were too tight etc. So it seems these were covers that did’t make it to the market due to imperfections. And if so thhey didn’t had unlimited stock of them. So they might be sold out. Somebody said “ExtremeRate” on Aliexpress will have this year shells for 3ds but idk just bringing it up because somebody else bringed this up on other post.
If those with zelda were not officials and they printed them out recently then maybe they will be back. But with quality and the colors which seems to be matchign oryginals 1 to 1 they might be gone. Sometimes when something is sold out on ali it comes back. You kno they pretend it’s gone to make people regret and buy it instantly when it comes back.
