    1. Not going to be buying a PlayStation 5/6 regardless so guess PlayStation isn’t going to be getting any of my money i guess

    2. I really don’t mind.

      I have a great PC, but I also have a PS5.

There is something to be said for games that are fully built for or around a specific piece of hardware. The DualSense controller is actually really cool and PC ports don’t make use of it, for example.

Most games that come out at the same time I get on PC though.

As long as cod can kiss my ass then I’m chill ( FUCK COD even though I play it sometimes and kinda have a addictive addiction to it)

    4. I’ve got a PC and PS5, so I don’t care all that much, but in general there are two sides to it. For the consumer it kind of sucks because you either have to choose or spend money on multiple platforms, but as a business it makes sense because it pulls people in the direction of your product when they have to choose. And let’s be real, PlayStation has some of the best exclusives.

Have a PS5 and a PC. I liked having the option. Didn’t typically buy their games for either system with the exception of Astro Bot (amazing), God of War Ragnarok (it’s OK), and Demon’s Souls (great remake). Of that three, two of them I didn’t have a choice, they had to be on console.

I don’t really think it’s as big of a win as people seem to think, the ps5’s sales have not been stopped by them bringing titles to pc, as I’d wager a lot of pc players are just pc with no interest in a console regardless of exclusives

    7. Honestly this is nesscary to reward those who bought it, unless it online types

Fantastic news. Now more focus on single player games and less GAAS and i will be happy.

    9. Own a Pro and a PC, actually like the change. I found myself waiting for the PC version for most games as they’d be the definitive version with higher fidelity and all the content included.

    10. A LOT of the PS originals are made for the console experience. They are cinematic, have simple controls, lots of QTEs. So I don’t see why any PC gamer would miss out by not playing them.

    11. i just hope that also that experiment of jimbo of trying to make playstation exclusives a house of services games never happened again

Console/platform exclusivity is a good thing, IMO. I know that’s an unpopular sentiment, but that exclusivity is what creates *competition* between platforms. And we need that competition in the industry. It drives innovation and quality.

Hopefully they will shift their focus back to making great single-player games because that’s the reason I bought PlayStation console in the first place.

It made no real difference to me, I’ll stay on PS unless they do something real shitty.

Just hope they pick up the pace on tentpole SP games instead of shitty live service ones.

Fantastic move by Sony. Let’s them focus more on the games themselves rather than ports, also literally has no downside for Sony.

I have a PlayStation and can’t imagine I’ll buy the next Xbox because of MSs AI obsession, so I fell pretty good about it.

    17. I own both PC and PS5, and a majority of my PS games are played on PS5, but losing the PC option is a big loss. I don’t understand why this is being celebrated. I understand console exclusivity, but taking away PC ports just hurts the community. It’s not going to lead to a noticeable difference in hardware sales and to my knowledge the PC ports made killings on Steam.

Yeah, no, can playstation not be idiots, you are crippling your revenue by limiting it to the console only

It’s great. Nintendo are thriving with that strategy and nobody ever says anything about their catalogue of games remaining on their home console.
