Marathon’s battle pass slammed as the “worst value for your money” as limits on cosmetics remind players of Bungie’s past failings: “Welcome back launch Destiny 2 shaders”

You’d think that after 12 years of creating live service games, Bungie would’ve figured out how to launch one successfully by now.

I didn’t even realize there was a battle pass, and I’ve been playing for hours lol

    3. Yeah I’m honestly kinda shocked its not the other way around. The D2 community literally a couple months ago caught Bungie lying about an asset in the store that had be designed as a free in game asset. They’re kinda scummy when it comes to cosmetics.

This is the guys who famously were reluctant to add glow back to Trials of Osiris because it would discourage people from paying for cosmetics.

I always crack up when I see an article that is literally just repeating a comment I read on reddit that same day or so

Journalism is so lazy these days

Bungie are experts at jamming as many microtransactions as possible. One of the many reasons I quit Destiny 2.

    6. I love it when this happens. Writing stories by forum post results in the wildest lurch from saying, “Bungie Cooked” in one headline, to this in the next.

Literally every live service game gets a battle pass each season. If you don’t like it, don’t buy it and hope that the next season is better.

People are loving to dog pile on what has been a decent extraction shooter so far, they want Bungie to fail so bad. The actual players of the game meanwhile are having a blast…

    8. I’m confused, the rewards in the battle pass are great and really cool looking. The limited sticker use is annoying but it’s not as big of a deal as people make it out to be.

Not to defend the admittedly scummy MTX practices here, but damn this game is fun when you actually just play it instead of going online to complain about every aspect of it.
