Hey so i’ve had a lot of issues with the LB of my controller. I had two other controllers stop working because of it,
So on my third, when my LB stopped working again, i opened up the controller and searched up a tutorial how it works. Turns out there’s a little plastic piece on the bumper part of my controller that keeps breaking, as shown in the picture. And that plastic part that’s broken is what actually touches the button for the LB input.
Has engine else had this issue? Is there a special type of controller to buy to prevent this? Or at least do you guys know how i would go about getting new parts for it?

Dang another weak spot in these modern controllers. I think you might be using too much force when pressing you LB. Might have to reinforce your new controller when you get it with extra padding.
I’m being as honest as possible you have to lighten up your presses and press more toward outer edges . Once I did that years ago I’ve never had this happen again and I have tons of these controllers across multiple consoles.
well I can’t offer much beyond “press your buttons lighter” but you can get replacement bumpers pretty easily and swap them out
I recently replaced this plastic part. After disassembling gamepad, I was surprised at how fragile the plastic is on lb/rb. Now I try to apply less pressure to these buttons.
love my fusion pro 3 wired, look into those maybe
Ever since they changed the material of that part its been a failure point. Its actually more prone to breaking than the sticks are
Had mine break in the same place. Got a replacement from Amazon pretty cheap. Super simple swap
I also had one of these break on me recently. I tried superglue but that didn’t really hold, ended up swapping the piece out with a different controller that had drift.
It’s crazy, I never had any of these problems with any controller until this current generation. And I don’t even play as much as I did last gen.
Just sad xbox doesn’t go for quality anymore.even my elite broke to Times for just using normally.
