Found a ‘for parts not working’ listing for a very good condition New 3DS XL for just $139 USD.
They said in the description that the blue power button would turn on for a second and then turn back off. Well as I am a professional nerd, I knew exactly how to fix it. A simple ntrboot brought it right back to life.
I did swap out the circle pad for a black one because I hate the stock gray one. There was nothing wrong with it. I just prefer black.

I have new sticker squares, stylus, home button ribbon, LR ribbons, digitizer, front housing, and top screen lens coming in the mail.
How did you know it was a bricked console rather than a battery issue?
