depends how much of a picture quality snob you are

Well, it’s a bit hard to tell when i went from ps4 straight to ps5 pro, but personally it’s been fantastic using it

If you have one no unless you can get a good price for your used one. I switched to a pro and I just runs everything better.

Now after Resident Evil 9 came out, difference is absolutely incomparable with base Ps5 system.
I will tell you this OP-
If answer is Yes for two of these questions then result is obvious:
Do you like single player games with good graphics and RT reflections ?
Do you have Good quality 4k Screen?
Is your wallet capable to spend couple hundred more for a visually best console experience to date?
Wish you a good decision:)

Unless you’re gonna play it on a 4K tv but tbh even then I’d say no lol, half the games on the ps5 are just repackaged ps4 games tbh which won’t even make a difference lol. It’s only worth it for extra memory and graphics on certain games imo
Although for GTA6, I’d say it’s worth it cause I think GTA will really! push the pro to the limits it’s capable of

Yes if you play VR or competitive games

If I didn’t own a PS5, I would get it
But not worth it to upgrade

I feel like if you have to ask if the Pro is worth it then you’re not the target audience. Its meant for enthusiasts who want the console with best possible performance and are nitpicky about stuff like resolution and framerate and know which games perform better and are aware of all this already.
Most people will be just fine with a standard/slim PS5.

Yes. GTA 6 and many others will undoubtedly harness the awesome power of the PRO and give us something that isn’t possible on the base model.

If you can pay for it and you want it, yes it is. The money is yours, do with it what pleases you more and be happy.

I was on the fence for the longest time. Picked one up a week ago through Amazon resale for around $100 off list price (box was damaged but console was mint) and my only regret is that I didn’t get one sooner.

Yes but it was my first ps5 so I can’t compare.

If you have a PS5 already, no. Not at all.
If you don’t have one and want one, I’d go for the upgraded personally.

I got a ps5 pro recently after being years of not owning any PlayStation so for me it was justified
Unlikely-Landscape23 on
Only for the extra storage it has honestly. Luckily I got a PS5 pro with 8TB internal and 8TB external before all this shit got expensive bc of AI cucks so I’m future proof already, still got at least 4tb for a few more years worth of games
Active-Pineapple-252 on
Yes especially if the ps6 is not releasing until 2028 or more

Piggybacking OP.
For the people that had both versions, is the difference really that noticeable?
For example, let’s say I play Death Stranding 2 with the normal PS5 and the Pro. Would the graphics look so different?

If you already have a PS5? No. If you have PS4? Yes.

Only if you’re not stretching yourself and it’s your first PS5. Otherwise in any other scenario, no.

If you don’t have a PS5, probably. If you have a PS5, then it isn’t worth the upgrade.

Are the visuals a huge leap from the pro ps4? Not speed remember, I’m asking about visuals. As for RT its kinda cool but unnecessary really, unless someone can give me an example where RT is really impressive
